My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night during our visit to Luxor. The hotel staff were nothing but scammers. They showed us a room with separate beds and said they couldn't offer us another room. We wanted to put the beds together, so they showed us a new room with two beds. Since we were tourists, they told us the hotel rate was $24 per night, which we did, and we paid an additional $2 for breakfast. Breakfast consisted of tea with boxes of honey, yogurt, an omelet, and tea. It certainly wasn't a satisfying breakfast. After settling in, we found there wasn't even any water in the room. We asked for water, and they charged us extra. After a long conversation, they offered us water and said we could have as much as we wanted. At first, everything was fine. We explored the city during the day and came back to the hotel for a shower. The bathroom was already in disrepair, old, and damp. They had left outdated, dirty packages of shampoo and soap in the room. There was no hairdryer in the room, and when we asked for one from downstairs, they charged us again. How could such a thing happen? Yes, they charge for everything. Then they told us they didn't have a hair dryer and would buy a new one, charging us for it, and that it would take at least half an hour to get it. Their service was terrible. My hair was wet, and when we asked for water again, we were charged again. We explained that they promised to provide water free of charge, but they acted as if we had caused a problem. The rooms are very old and have no amenities other than the bed. We asked what we were paying for, and they said every hotel has different procedures. We stayed in many hotels in Egypt for seven days and have never seen such disgrace. Upon checkout, they charged us for water and tea, wasting our time trying to get to our destinations. After what happened, we requested an invoice for all the fees we paid, and they sent us a list of tea and water charges. They know their actions are wrong, but they're trying to deceive customers. We paid 26 USD + 110 EGP for just one day, and the service wasn't worthy of that price. What they presented as an invoice isn't even an invoice. They're clearly evading taxes; they're not a honest business. If you want to regret, you can choose this place for accommodation.
