"I had a very comfortable stay at the InterContinental Raffles City Chongqing. The hotel lobby offers a breathtaking panoramic view, overlooking the main city of Chongqing and the confluence of the two rivers from a high vantage point – truly spectacular! The day before my arrival, the hotel proactively called to inquire about my arrival time and any specific needs. As an InterContinental Ambassador, they kindly upgraded my room and provided a complimentary breakfast. During check-in, the front desk staff was professional and efficient, and even offered me some complimentary Chongqing-specialty snacks made by the hotel. While the room wasn't particularly spacious, the amenities were well-maintained, and the view from the window was still magnificent. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Chaotianmen Square and the pier, and it's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining at Raffles City Mall. It's also not far from the subway station, making public transport very accessible. The only slight inconvenience was needing to take two different elevators to pick up food deliveries, which added about 5-10 minutes to the round trip, including waiting for the elevators. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, excellent in every detail and experience."

I felt completely at ease and comfortable the entire time. My executive room had an exceptional overall feel, with an open and airy layout and a spacious ambiance. The decor blended elegant Chinese aesthetics with modern minimalist luxury design, creating a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. The layout was well-designed, and the soft furnishings were exquisite. The warm lighting created a soothing ambiance. The room's soundproofing was excellent, ensuring quiet and privacy, leading to superb rest. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered unrivaled views of the confluence of the two rivers and the Yuzhong Peninsula cityscape. Whether relaxing or soaking in the tub, I could enjoy the riverside view, immersing myself in the mountainous city's scenery. The bedding was soft, skin-friendly, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom featured a dry/wet separation, and premium toiletries were well-stocked. The executive room's exclusive mini-bar was refreshed daily with complimentary drinks and snacks. Various thoughtful daily essentials were perfectly provided, with attention to every detail, making for a luxurious and pleasant living experience. The dining experience was equally outstanding, with dishes that excelled in color, aroma, and taste, balancing both quality and flavor. The hotel offered a rich selection of meals, catering to both local Chongqing flavors and exquisite Western cuisine. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of fresh ingredients, including regular Western pastries, hot dishes, congee, and fresh fruit drinks, as well as authentic Chongqing noodles and pea and meat sauce noodles, full of local character. Executive room guests also enjoyed exclusive executive lounge benefits, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. The food was exquisitely prepared and diverse, in a quiet, less crowded setting, offering greater privacy and a full sense of exclusive treatment. Additionally, the hotel's main dining options, specialty hotpot, and the Two Rivers Bar on the 7th floor are all worth experiencing. The ingredients are premium, and the cooking is done with care. The Two Rivers Bar boasts a prime view of the river at night, offering a double delight for both sight and taste with the evening breeze and delicious food. The hotel's public facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. The high-altitude heated swimming pool was quiet and uncrowded, allowing me to swim while enjoying river views. The gym had professional and well-equipped machinery to meet daily workout needs. The spa and relaxation areas were well-appointed, perfect for unwinding after a tiring journey. The public areas exuded elegant style, with a sophisticated fragrance, creating a tranquil and refined environment where every snapshot looked like a professional photograph. Overall, my impression of the stay was that Regent Chongqing enjoys a prime location with unparalleled views of the two rivers, complemented by impeccable, thoughtful service, excellent dining, a high-quality executive room environment, and comprehensive facilities. Everything was executed to perfection. With the added executive privileges, the overall value for money and comfort were significantly enhanced, creating a tranquil and luxurious sanctuary in the bustling mountain city. Next time I visit Chongqing, Regent Chongqing will still be my top choice, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to friends traveling or vacationing in Chongqing. It's truly worth revisiting."

During the holidays, there weren't many people around, which was nice because I didn't have to deal with crowds. The butler, Yannie, was very attentive and left a deep impression on me."

"The moment I first stood high above Chongqing at the Conrad, gazing out at the dreamlike, illuminated nightscape of the 'Fog City,' I truly understood the essence of ultimate luxury. The cloud-like bedding was so incredibly soft it felt as if it enveloped me completely, making me never want to leave. And CICI, our guest relations manager, her meticulous and thoughtful arrangements made the entire stay feel like a dream. Now, I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit, yearning to return to these 'clouds' and relive this wonderful experience."

"Staying at Bolian Resort truly felt luxurious. This was my first time experiencing a high end resort in China, and I chose Bolian over other options in the area, including Banyan Tree Hot Springs, with very high expectations. While it is not perfect, I’m glad to say that it does meet the standards of a luxury resort. The level of service and attention to detail, even with the language barrier, was comparable to what I’ve experienced at other top tier hotels like Park Hyatt. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the staff for fulfilling my personal request to have berries and chocolate prepared in my room. What really touched me was the towel art and flower petal decorations on the bed, thoughtfully arranged to mark a very personal occasion, which was celebrating my mental health recovery. Seeing the Mandarin character for “happy” placed on the bed felt very endearing. It was a small gesture, but one that felt genuinely kind and thoughtful. Other aspects of the service were just as impressive. While I was away enjoying the Bolian hot spring spa, the staff prepared my room for the evening by lighting all the mini candles, mopping the floor, and creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere for my return. That level of attention to detail really stood out. That said, I did notice a small oversight. The tea filter I had used for my pu’er tea was still left in the sink, which suggested that housekeeping may have been rushing, possibly knowing I would be returning sooner than expected. It was minor, but noticeable in an otherwise polished experience. The hot spring amenities, both in the room and around the resort, were amazing. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I also appreciated how attentive the staff were at night, especially when guests were walking along the hot spring paths in the dark. The unexpected room upgrade was a lovely surprise as well, so thank you for that. Overall, I had a very pleasant and restorative stay. However, one thing that really affected my experience was the breakfast. The breakfast was honestly disappointing for a resort of this standard. The options were limited, the presentation was not great, and the overall quality fell short of expectations. I have uploaded photos with this review in the hope that management can improve this area. To be frank, breakfast took away from what was otherwise a wonderful stay. Being served ONE CHICKEN FOOT as part of the spread was highly amusing, but not in a good way. I have had much better Chongqing noodles and dim sum at local eateries for a fraction of the price. For a meal priced at around 200 yuan, it felt hard to justify......This is where people often say not to eat at five star hotels because the better food is usually found on the streets. It was disappointing that Bolian’s breakfast ended up reinforcing this stereotype... In summary, Bolian Resort shines when it comes to service, atmosphere, attentiveness, and hot spring facilities. With a serious improvement to the breakfast, it could easily become a truly excellent luxury experience."

"The hotel room was quiet and comfortable, and Remi the butler provided excellent service. The room arrangement was also good, and the breakfast selection was abundant. I originally thought it was a one-bedroom apartment, but it turned out to be a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, which was great value for money. The environment was also nice with many activities. The Chinese restaurant was decent, and the Western restaurant had a really good breakfast."

"The location is excellent, as the hotel is situated right above Raffles City Mall in Chongqing. It is very convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around the city. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. It even comes with a washing machine and washing powder, which was a big plus for a longer stay. One unique highlight is the drone show on Saturdays. You can head to the Level 1 outdoor platform to watch it. The platform is spacious and feels quite private for hotel guests, so you don’t have to squeeze with the large crowds at the public viewing areas. Just note that the view is reversed because the show faces the opposite side of the river, but it is still a fun experience. The hotel also provides free supper every night, which is a nice touch and adds extra value to the stay. Service was excellent throughout. The staff were very friendly, especially the security guard at the lower ground floor. There is a tall, middle-aged gentleman who is always smiling and extremely helpful. He assisted us in communicating with our Didi driver and even helped carry our luggage to the car when we left, which made a great impression. Overall, a highly recommended stay for anyone visiting Chongqing."

"First off, the hotel's location is excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk from Jiefangbei and about ten minutes to Shibati. There are also some famous local hotpot places nearby. You could say that to your left are towering skyscrapers, and to your right is the vibrant local life. The room size is quite generous, the bedding is comfortable, and the style is a bit like a budget hotel – quite simple. What I found really inconvenient was the layout and flow of the room; it felt a bit illogical..."

"This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Chongqing, located right next to Jiefangbei, making it super convenient for getting around. Facilities: Even though it's an older hotel, the bedding is excellent, and all the facilities and equipment are still quite new. Hygiene: Every nook and cranny is spotless. Environment: The surrounding area is great, and the 51st-floor executive lounge offers fantastic views of Jiefangbei and the river. The rooftop infinity pool also has a beautiful night view. Service: The staff are all very friendly, and check-in and check-out are handled very efficiently."

During my recent trip to Chongqing, I stayed at the Intercity Hotel near Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, and overall, my experience was very comfortable. The location is genuinely excellent, right by Jiefangbei, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. Attractions like Shibati, Hongyadong, and the Yangtze River Cableway are all within walking distance, saving me the hassle of constantly taking taxis – a huge plus for tourists. There are also plenty of dining options nearby; you can easily find a good hotpot or Chongqing noodle place. The hotel lobby and rooms are decorated in a simple yet aesthetically pleasing style – not overly lavish but very comfortable. The room amenities are comprehensive, including toiletries, and the cleanliness is impeccable; the floors and bedding were spotless, which gave me peace of mind. The breakfast selection is quite diverse, offering both German-style bread and coffee, as well as local flavors like Chongqing noodles, catering to different tastes. The biggest bonus is the top floor, which features an infinity pool and an observation deck. The night view of Shibati from up there is particularly stunning, with layers of lights truly capturing the essence of a mountain city. There's also a small bar nearby, making it a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy the breeze. The staff were all very friendly and responsive to any issues, and housekeeping was prompt. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Chongqing."
