"We had an unforgettable birthday vacation with our children at Capella Sanya. Daisy, our cultural ambassador, made us feel so welcome from the moment we checked in. The room was beautifully decorated for the birthday, and our child was absolutely thrilled. Every staff member greeted us with a warm smile, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is like a tropical garden, with palm-lined pools leading to a stunning beach. Every step is a picturesque view. The kids' club offers a wide array of activities, and the water park kept our child entertained and laughing. The facilities are excellent and well-designed, making every moment, whether strolling along the beach or relaxing by the pool, utterly delightful. This stay perfectly blended friendly service with natural beauty, leaving us with cherished memories as sweet as the sea breeze. I wholeheartedly recommend it. From Capella Shanghai Jian Ye Li all the way to Sanya, Capella has never disappointed me. Highly recommended!"

"I booked the Sea-view Suite, and the room was very spacious with excellent natural light. The walk-in closet was also very generous. Relaxing on the balcony while looking at the sea was incredibly enjoyable. The room came with complimentary fruits, desserts, and sparkling wine, which really set a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very warm and always ready to help; every employee I passed on the way would greet me enthusiastically and ask if I needed assistance. For breakfast, there were several restaurants to choose from, and the food selection was quite extensive."

Located in Haitang Bay, Sanya on Hainan Island, the ultra-luxurious Rosewood Sanya is the first resort in China for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts . The resort offers 244 panoramic ocean view rooms and five restaurants and lounges. Other facilities include an infinity pool located on 13th floor, a fitness center and Sense, A Rosewood Spa. Nearly 3,425 square meters of meeting and function space including a pillar-less ballroom, six salons and The Pavilion, a Rosewood signature residential-style meeting and function space with a sea view terrace and open show kitchen.

"I ended up choosing Rosewood over The Edition, but I was quite disappointed; the service wasn't as great as the reviews suggested. The day before check-in, I received a call from the hotel confirming that a butler would contact me via WeChat to discuss my preferences and any services requiring reservations. However, after leaving my number, no one contacted me until noon on check-in day, so I had to call the hotel again to get a butler assigned. I had mentioned I would arrive before 4 PM, and check-in was on the 14th floor. It was very crowded that day, and I waited in line for about fifteen minutes. The front desk staff kindly upgraded my room, but then I had to wait 50 minutes for it to be cleaned. After finally getting into the room, I waited another half hour for my luggage, calling twice to chase it up. It was quite frustrating; I might as well have carried it up myself. The room was spacious, and although the view wasn't perfectly straight, it seemed like a room specifically used for upgrades. The ocean view, however, was absolutely stunning, and the room was very clean. That evening, I requested a buckwheat pillow and a latex pillow, and the staff thoughtfully tidied up the room and prepared for turn-down service. Breakfast was pretty average; the restaurant was small, and the variety wasn't extensive enough, falling short compared to other luxury hotels. They also didn't proactively mention that there was a menu for additional orders. The most memorable items were the delicious king crab and pork wontons, and the fresh young coconuts were fantastic and readily available. The hotel's public areas are indeed quite small, and being next to the villa area, privacy isn't great. The only real highlight was the 13th-floor pool, but it's also open to non-guests, attracting many influencers for photos. It's best suited for couples."

If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"The room was quite old and, compared to other rooms in the same price range, pretty mediocre. The toilet barely flushed, and the soundproofing was terrible. The worst part was coming back to the room after the hotel's snorkeling excursion to find no hot water – I literally caught a cold. Later that night, after eating the hotel's buffet, I started vomiting and had a headache; I felt like I was half-dead. I originally didn't want to leave such a mid-range review because the butler was actually quite good. BUT!!!!! When they were loading our luggage, the doorman at the entrance removed the battery from my child's electric suitcase, didn't reattach it properly, and then loaded it into the car. Since we had two cars, I left first with my child in the first car, and our luggage was in the second. At the next stop, the driver didn't notice the loose battery when unloading the luggage, so it just drove off with the car… This meant I spent an entire evening during my next leg of the trip trying to contact staff at every point to find the battery. Coupled with catching a cold the day before, I was completely distraught. This is a huge, huge negative and truly the last straw. However, to be fair, the hotel's public areas are nice, and the staff at the kids' camp were very enthusiastic, friendly, and patient. And while the buffet was very ordinary, the service staff that day were also very friendly and warm."

"My recent stay presented a stark duality: while the hotel showcased high-end quality in its facilities, scenic views, and core hospitality, a critical service lapse unfortunately created a significant disappointment that management should address seriously. Highlights worth special commendation: 1. **Outstanding Butler Service (Evelyn):** Her service was undoubtedly the pinnacle of this stay, far exceeding expectations in professionalism and attentiveness. From our arrival, she demonstrated meticulous care: while our room was being prepared, she not only comfortably settled us in the lounge but also proactively arranged a window table at the restaurant with a view and thoughtfully confirmed all details for the birthday cake. During our stay, her message replies were consistently prompt, and all our requests were followed up with meticulous care. Her service wasn't just mechanical; it was full of genuine warmth and proactive planning, greatly enhancing our overall experience. 2. **Exceptional Dining Quality:** The taste and presentation of both in-room dining and restaurant dishes left a deep impression on us, standing out particularly among hotels of similar caliber we've experienced (including The Edition and Rosewood). Furthermore, the longevity noodles specially prepared for my birthday dinner and the warm, attentive service from the staff during the meal truly reflected the dining team's thoughtfulness and excellent service awareness during important occasions. **A Humiliating Encounter (Core Criticism):** However, an incident that occurred early the next morning severely undermined and almost negated the pleasure and goodwill established by the aforementioned highlights. While walking along the public beachfront path, we saw a beautifully decorated garden where a wedding couple was clearly having a photoshoot on the lawn. We immediately understood it was a private event and consciously stopped on the public path, not stepping onto the lawn. We only took a distant photo with our phone towards the setup (deliberately avoiding the couple) and were about to leave. At this point, a hotel staff member swiftly approached, and his opening remark was an interrogative challenge: ”What kind of guests are you?” After checking our room card, he showed no apology. Instead, he lectured us in a patronizing tone, saying, ”This is a venue rented by others; you can just look from a distance.” After we explained, he incredibly retorted, ”To give an example, it's like if you spent tens of thousands of yuan to rent a venue, and someone just intrudes…” This specific, poorly chosen analogy, filled with malicious assumptions, and his 'admonishing' tone instantly demoted us, two rule-abiding guests, into 'potential trespassers' and 'individuals needing discipline.' **The root of the problem lies in two interconnected aspects:** Firstly, the individual staff member's communication style. He didn't offer a kind reminder but prejudged us as potential rule-breakers, lecturing us with an offensive analogy about ”tens of thousands of yuan.” This suspicious and condescending attitude completely goes against the spirit of service based on respect. Secondly, and more importantly, it points to a lack of hotel management procedures. If this area is prone to misunderstanding, why isn't there a simple, clear sign? A polite notice (e.g., ”This area is reserved for a private event; your understanding is appreciated”) would both clarify boundaries, prevent guests from inadvertently approaching, and allow staff to make polite and justifiable reminders if necessary, instead of having to rely on stiff and offensive personal remarks to 'enforce' rules. The absence of clear guidance beforehand, coupled with such terrible communication during the incident, reflects a dual failure from management to execution. Frankly, I consider myself an easygoing, experience-focused guest. Evelyn's excellent service and the thoughtful arrangements by the dining team made us feel truly cared for and joyful during our stay, and we are usually willing to fully understand minor hiccups that might occur during travel. However, the ”garden incident” was fundamentally different. It directly challenged the service industry's basic principle of ”respecting guests.” When an employee substitutes speculation for observation and admonishment for communication, the harm caused is enough to overshadow all other wonderful experiences. It was this incident that ultimately prevented me from giving a five-star rating. It is commendable that after we provided feedback to our butler before checking out, the hotel management promptly followed up and communicated with us proactively, sincerely understanding the situation and offering positive compensation. This attitude of confronting issues and valuing immediate guest feedback is commendable. We hope these promises will truly translate into a widespread improvement in service awareness and behavior among all frontline staff. True luxury is always defined by the warmth, wisdom, and consistent respect of its people. If we can experience tangible progress in the overall team's service quality in the future, we would still consider Park Hyatt for our next vacation."

This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Stayed here for three nights, and overall it was decent. It was super crowded, which made for a lively atmosphere, but we had to queue just to get into breakfast, though the wait wasn't too long. The prices here are really high. A bottle of Coke Zero at the water park was 28, and a serving of Oden (6 skewers) was 48 (68 downstairs at the hotel). A single squid skewer was 48! At the Japanese restaurant downstairs, a bowl of Udon was 138 and a beef rice bowl was 168. We really should have taken a taxi to eat out, but we were just too lazy 😭. On the other hand, the room service food was delicious, and by comparison, it didn't seem so expensive. A set menu with four dishes (pictured in Figure 4) was 378. The worst experience here was the travel photography service (Fuyou Pai). The hotel offered five complimentary digital raw photos. First off, the photographer was probably in their forties or fifties, and had us pose in those old-fashioned studio styles from my childhood – and I couldn't refuse! 😭 The raw photos weren't even as good as what I could take with my phone, so I had no choice but to pay 100 for retouched versions. Then I ended up spending another 680 to buy 15 more retouched photos. That money was totally wasted. I've got a new goal for 2026: learn photography 📷. I thought the C Show performance was just okay, but the kids loved it and wanted to see it again 😓. Definitely get seats in the middle."

Hotel near Clear Water Bay,Lingshui
No. 10 of Luxury Hotels in Hainan
With stunning views of Clear Water Bay, and a championship golf course just next door, the Raffles Hainan makes for a perfect getaway in Sanya. Free parking and Wi-Fi in public areas are offered to guests of this hotel. A number of dining options are on the premises, including a Chinese and an Mediterranean restaurant. An on-site bar plays tribute to the bar at Raffles Singapore where the world famous Singapore Sling was created. A ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 guests is ideal for social or business events, while meeting rooms and staff offering their professional planning services are also available. Guests with free time can go for a dip in the swimming pool, play beach volleyball or tennis, or indulge in spa and massage services.

"After exploring countless attractions in Sanya, we decided to switch gears to Lingshui for a relaxing staycation and chose the Raffles Clearwater Bay for two nights. The butler contacted us the day before via phone to exchange contact information. Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted with a thoughtful glass of orange juice. Our butler, Diana, pleasantly surprised us by upgrading our Sea-view Twin room at Tianhaiju to a Sea-view Suite at Lanhaibay, and because there were three of us, she also arranged for an extra complimentary breakfast. It was a delightful surprise! The suite was located on a high floor in the Bali wing, spanning nearly 200 square meters. The balcony offered a direct view of the Freedom Lighthouse, a filming location for 'Lost in the Stars,' and overlooked the entire Clearwater Bay. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night was a unique experience. The minibar had a good variety of soft drinks, including Voss and Perrier. Mosquito repellent and medicated oil were also provided. The bathroom featured a Dyson dark gold hairdryer, and while the toiletries were less common brands, the toothpaste had a subtle, pleasant pear scent worth mentioning. The hotel boasts five dining outlets, including bars. The 'Long Le Bar' offered an enchanting evening ritual accompanied by Steinway piano music, creating a wonderful ambiance. The 'Shadi Village Seafood Buffet' was decent, and the hot pot was delicious, though it was quite windy by the sea. The 'Baiwei Cantonese Restaurant' served exquisite and tasty dishes, and as an Accor member, I received a 10% discount and could charge it to my room. Due to time constraints, we didn't get to try the other two restaurants. The overall design is a Southeast Asian estate style, with expansive, garden-like grounds. Every corner of the hotel offered a picturesque view. The 'Sky Gate,' 'Fengyu Gate,' and 'Lagoon Pool' were all excellent spots for photoshoots. A special shout-out to Angela, Pulong, and Zeng Lingquan from Platinum Photography within the hotel for their incredibly dedicated and responsible service. Other facilities included a gym fully equipped with Technogym equipment. There's also a 'Dragon Pavilion/Raffles Club' for villa guests to enjoy afternoon tea. The 'hui'-shaped conference center was beautiful, and the children's center, wedding chapel, and surf shop were all well-appointed. In summary, while Raffles Clearwater Bay opened in 2013 and shows some age, it has been remarkably well-maintained and renovated. Both the tiles and wooden floors had a wonderfully smooth texture. The staff were polite and enthusiastic, with most greeting us with a nod and a smile. The manager also handled any issues with grace. For those looking for a resort getaway in Sanya, this is definitely an excellent choice."

"We brought our child to the Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Jinmao, and from the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were completely won over by the all-encompassing, high-quality experience. Every key aspect perfectly met our expectations, making the entire stay pleasant and without a single regret! The front desk staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. They had diligently noted our family's needs, which we had communicated in advance. Check-in was not only quick and efficient, but they also proactively presented a special welcome gift for our child, thoroughly explained the hotel's facilities and family activities, and even thoughtfully guided us to the parking area. For those driving, there's absolutely no need to worry about parking convenience. The 65 sqm guest room offered stunning views that truly amazed us. The private scenic balcony directly overlooked the azure sea and coconut groves. Drawing the curtains in the morning revealed a sight that was utterly therapeutic, and at night, we enjoyed an incredibly beautiful night view, with city lights and the starlight on the sea reflecting off each other, creating an amazing ambiance. The biggest surprise was how comfortable the bedding was; we just didn't want to get out of bed. The mattress was perfectly balanced in firmness, paired with high-thread-count pure cotton linens that were skin-friendly and breathable. Even family members accustomed to sleeping on harder beds slept soundly through the night. The hotel's soundproofing was astonishingly effective; the sound of waves outside and footsteps in public areas were completely blocked out, leaving only serene quietness at night, which significantly boosted our sleep quality. The toiletries were comprehensive and high-end. The full set of Diptyque Figuier (Greek Fig) scented amenities smelled luxurious, with everything from shampoo and conditioner to body lotion. Even children's dedicated bath products were pre-arranged, showing great attention to detail. Housekeeping was prompt and meticulous. Every day upon returning to the room, it was neatly organized, the bathroom was spotlessly clean, bedding was changed promptly, and even water stains on the table were wiped clean, making us feel completely at ease. Our butler, Xiao Die, provided exceptionally thoughtful service, perfectly embodying the spirit of anticipating needs. She proactively and quickly responded throughout our stay, resolving any questions we had immediately. The hotel is incredibly family-friendly, with well-equipped children's clubs. The breakfast buffet was dazzlingly rich, offering everything from Chinese steamed dim sum, Western baked goods, freshly cooked noodles, and fresh-cut fruits. The Hainan-style noodle soup and three types of zhajiangmian (noodles with fried sauce) were authentic, and the bread pudding and French toast in the dessert section were particularly delightful. Both adults and children could find something they loved. Furthermore, the hotel boasts five outdoor swimming pools, a private beach, an executive lounge, and other comprehensive facilities, catering to everything from relaxation to family entertainment. It truly excelled in every aspect without any shortcomings. This stay perfectly met all our expectations. The bedding, soundproofing, views, and service were all impeccable. It's our top choice for a family vacation, and we will definitely return to Sanya and stay here again!"

"Regis, you're truly amazing! This place is the epitome of old-money luxury resorts, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The day before check-in, our butler proactively created a group chat. From itinerary advice to fulfilling our requests, their responses were incredibly prompt. On the night it got chilly, they even delivered warm milk and ginger tea to our room. That cozy cup instantly chased away the seaside chill – the thoughtfulness in every detail was just wonderful. The private beach and estate are a true gem. The sand is so fine, it feels like walking on cotton. It's uncrowded and peaceful; you don't have to jostle for space. Just lying there, enjoying the sea breeze, the clear blue sky, and having that slice of tranquility all to yourself is pure bliss. The breakfast also completely defied the negative reviews online. There's a wide variety of both Western and Chinese options. The freshly made seafood congee and the freshly baked waffles were both excellent. Starting the day well-fed and satisfied is just the best. I have to specifically highlight the hotel's SPA massage. The essential oils had a subtle herbal scent, and the masseuse's technique was professional and precise. After the massage, I felt completely relaxed and all my fatigue vanished. If I had to mention a minor drawback, it's that the hotel is a bit older and doesn't have smart toilets. However, these small imperfections absolutely don't detract from the overall experience. After all, the streamlined design of new hotels just doesn't have this kind of accumulated luxury and poise. I really didn't want to leave after staying here. I'll definitely bring my friends to visit again next time!"

"My family and I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Sanya Haitang Bay, and our overall experience was incredibly satisfying. The hotel's facilities and amenities are excellent, and we felt the thoughtful service from the moment we checked in until we departed. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by staff who presented us with fresh orchid leis – a truly lovely touch! When checking in, they even prepared a special, adorable room key card for my child, which made them incredibly happy. The staff patiently explained all the hotel areas and activity schedules, providing meticulous and attentive service. The room's sea view was fantastic, offering an expansive panorama. Waking up to the clear blue ocean every day was incredibly refreshing. The hotel is very considerate of children; the Kids' Experience Ambassador proactively contacted us to prepare and place all necessary children's amenities in the room, from toiletries to building blocks and a tent. My child had an absolute blast. The parent-child activities are a major highlight of the hotel, with a rich daily schedule. My child participated in various activities like crafts and games, fully engaged and constantly laughing. We barely needed to plan any additional excursions; my child could enjoy a fulfilling and happy day just within the hotel. The day before our departure, the Experience Ambassador thoughtfully inquired about our travel plans and even prepared snacks for my child, along with a small souvenir. The service from the Experience Ambassador truly deserves praise and added significantly to our positive experience. They checked in with us daily, offered assistance with parcel deliveries and food orders, saving us a lot of hassle. This stay was extremely enjoyable. Both the hardware facilities and the soft services left a deep impression. My child had a wonderful time, and we, as adults, found it relaxing and stress-free. We will definitely choose this hotel again for our next trip to Sanya. Tornado 🌪️"

MM407110****I spontaneously booked the Banyan Tree, and I'm really glad I did. It's not particularly close to the airport, about a 40-45 minute drive. Check-in was very smooth; my luggage was sent directly to the room. The room I booked was close to the lobby, but they do have a shuttle service for rooms further away. The room itself was excellent – very spacious with two large floor-to-ceiling windows that provided amazing light. There was also a private pool (which I unfortunately didn't get to use). A separate small room for watching TV or dining was a great touch, preventing food smells from lingering in the main room. The outdoor bathtub in the courtyard was also a lot of fun. The hairdryer provided was a Laifen, which is quite good, though a Dyson would have been even better… given the price point. Moreover, the turndown service offered proactively each evening truly shows that Banyan Tree's service is a cut above typical five-star hotels. As a lunch option, the Mingyue restaurant felt a bit underwhelming, especially when compared to steakhouses at Mandarin Oriental hotels or the Ming Court/T'ang Court at Langham hotels I've stayed at in Shanghai. However, the breakfast definitely met expectations. The gym was a bit old and the equipment was quite basic. I guess not many vacationers come here to work out. It would be good for outdoor running though. Finally, the private beach – this is what I booked it for, and it was fantastic! The sand was clean, the sea was beautiful, and there were special pavilions where you could relax. Perfect. I also have to commend the butler service. They were very diligent and responsible, always ready to assist with any request, truly living up to the Banyan Tree brand.

MMajima_GoroFacilities: The pool king room was fantastic. The room had a walk-in closet, and the toilet and shower were separate on either side, offering a wet-dry split. There were two sinks, and the bathtub came with bath salts and cleaning tools. The toilet was smart. The air conditioning in the room was consistently stable with no noise, and the sound system and TV experience were also good. The only downside to my room type was that the pool wasn't heated, which is understandable given the price point. It gets quite cold on cloudy days this season. Hygiene: The room and pool were cleaned daily. Environment: The Wanda Reign is better suited for couples or those who prefer a quiet getaway; the relaxation experience is excellent. I wouldn't recommend it for families with children, as the villa rooms don't offer other kid-friendly amenities – those are all next door at the Wanda Vista. I suppose the main issue might be its age; some of the hotel's facilities or areas show signs of wear and tear upon closer inspection. Service: The service was excellent. They helped deliver takeout and packages, and you could call for a shuttle service. During holidays, be aware that you might have to wait a bit longer. Our butler, Eddy, was always on standby, and the service was very attentive.

AAnonymous UserThe decor is Roman-inspired and the hotel is very clean and tidy. The garden is exceptionally pleasant and beautiful. Breakfast is extensive with a wide variety of food options. Our king-size pool room got plenty of sunlight, and being off-season, it was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a very quiet night's sleep with virtually no noise. The staff were all incredibly friendly, almost to the point of being overly attentive. The only downside was that the bed was too soft and the pillows lacked support, but I'm sure you could contact the front desk for alternatives. The garden leads directly to the beach, and since it's connected to the neighboring Sheraton, you can enjoy facilities at both properties. The Sheraton seems more suitable for families with children, while the JW Marriott is better for couples or those seeking a tranquil experience. Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Sanya. The transportation is also quite convenient, and in the evenings, you can even walk along the beach to Atlantis's open-air bar for a show and drinks.
