"Worst welcome I ever had to a hotel. Duty manager refused to let me leave my day bag at reception to allow me to collect 2 heavy suitcases from my previous hotel nearby before checking in, ye having verified my reservation. This left a hugely bad taste in my mouth that soured the next three nights at this place. Billed as 4 star but 3 at best. Room cleaning not done thoroughly, gym is tiny with broken equipment and only light weights. Mugs provided in room are so small that they are not suitable for the drip coffee bags they provide. If only they would give a spoon to stir the coffee with! AC in room does not go below 22 degrees centigrade in Auto mode. Staff are all uptight and clearly not enjoying their work - bad working environment evidently, no surprise judging by the duty manager’s attitude. All I got from the receptionist at check-out was a dry “OK”. I will not be returning."

"My partner and I had a fantastic overall experience staying at this hotel during our trip to Taitung. The hotel's location is excellent. From the moment we approached the entrance, we could already feel the thoughtful service – the staff at the door proactively directed us to the most convenient path for our luggage, which made a great first impression. The front desk staff were very detailed in their explanations and friendly, making the check-in process incredibly smooth. The hotel offers many free experiential activities and DIY classes, and the facilities are well-planned. The overall atmosphere felt relaxing and comfortable. I particularly want to mention that as we were about to take the elevator upstairs, a passing cleaning staff member saw us and proactively pressed the elevator button for us. These small details truly show the hotel staff's attentiveness and warmth, making the overall service feel very welcoming. The environment was generally well-maintained, and the cleanliness was mostly good, though a few minor details could be improved, such as a small strand of hair found on the mirror, likely left by a previous guest. Additionally, the soundproofing in the room was a bit weak, and we could hear noise from the neighboring room, but it was still within an acceptable range. The breakfast was decent, but the overall stay was still very pleasant. If we have the chance to visit Taitung again, we would definitely choose to stay here."

"My stay at Rihui International Resort was a truly satisfying and relaxing vacation. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, with a simple yet elegant design that created a relaxing atmosphere from the moment I entered. The hot spring facilities were particularly impressive; soaking in the hot springs completely released the day's fatigue, providing immense healing for both body and mind. The breakfast selection was abundant and varied, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. The bright and spacious dining environment allowed me to leisurely enjoy starting my day. The poolside view was stunning, perfect for taking photos or simply relaxing. In the early morning, the distant mountain scenery unfolded before my eyes. The fresh air and expansive views made me slow down and immerse myself in the tranquility of nature. Overall, the facilities, environment, and service were all excellent, making it a high-quality resort I would definitely want to return to for another relaxing vacation."

"This resort is very outdated. Needs a major upgrade. It has old resort smell and the bathroom of the room we had stayed we’re not clean and needed repairs done. The spa was okay and it was weird to have residential building nearby to look over the spa swimming pool. The facility looks old and empty. There are residential buildings around but no restaurants nor eatery nearby, only one 7-11. However, the staffs were wonderful, and we appreciate their help working with us to accommodate our request."

"We stayed in a tatami room. The small table was covered in dust and dirt, suggesting poor cleaning. The air conditioning was quite cold. There were sika deer in the park, but there was no odor. The deer were friendly and healthy, and the children loved them. The breakfast was bland and unappetizing, with the only good thing being the freshly brewed coffee. There were adorable cats outside the hotel, and we even encountered guests bringing their adorable giant poodles. This pet-friendly establishment is a real plus, and we really appreciate it. Location: We arrived right after the hot air balloon flight, so we didn't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic back into the city. The location was great."

"Since my booked room was under renovation, I was moved to the main building (Pagoda International Resort). The service was superb and all staff were very helpful. The hotel is a bit out of the way and difficult to reach by public transport, but they offer a free shuttle service which you should definitely use. Right in front of the hotel, there's a YouBike station where you can rent bicycles. The room and breakfast were perfect."

"Our stay from Friday to Saturday was fantastic! It truly lives up to its five-star rating. Even the front desk staff were incredibly pleasant and articulate. The hotel's facilities and activities were excellent too; you could easily arrive around noon and spend the whole day enjoying everything it offers. It's suitable for all ages. Our room was spacious, clean, and meticulously tidy. Guests have the option of using either the indoor or outdoor hot springs, and you can even enjoy them in your own room, as the water source is the same. The indoor hot spring area also features massage chairs. The breakfast spread was very generous and varied. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Zhiben!"
