Grand Hotel National Luzern

This hotel didn't feel worth the price. I booked it for 5500 a night and was assigned a room on the 2nd floor with an extremely poor view. The Wi-Fi signal was terrible, and there was an outdoor bar below that was so loud I couldn't sleep. To make matters worse, the bathtub in the first room I stayed in was broken and wouldn't drain. Luckily, Ctrip stepped in and helped me resolve the issue perfectly by switching my room. I really don't recommend this hotel; it doesn't live up to its price point. You'd be better off staying at a Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental.

I stayed at the most expensive hotel of my life. All I can say is that it was incredibly luxurious and amazing! They had a well-stocked mini-bar, and even chocolates before bed. Breakfast was delicious too.

Absolutely fantastic! The service was excellent, and the views were incredible. Waking up to blue skies and beautiful sunshine was a dream. The staff member was very patient and helpful with all our questions, and the bar had a lively atmosphere. I really loved the vibe here.

My luggage was sent to the wrong room. When I asked the front desk about it, I was told impatiently that they were looking into it and she didn't know anything else. Her attitude was quite unhelpful. I waited half an hour for my luggage to be delivered to my room. The hairdryer in the room was broken, so I called to request a replacement. I waited forever, and a working hairdryer was never sent, even by the time I checked out. I paid over 6000 for the room, and I feel the service was really mediocre. On the positive side: The welcome drink was delicious, the breakfast was good, and the breakfast service staff were also very nice. The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient.

The breakfast selection was quite limited and definitely didn't match the hotel's standards. That evening, I visited the adjacent casino. When I got back to the hotel at 12:30 AM, I rang the doorbell, but no one answered. Having to wait for a good 10-15 minutes was honestly a bit much.

This was the fifth hotel on my trip to Switzerland. It's two bus stops from the train station, but conveniently located right by the stop, so getting there wasn't an issue. The hotel clearly exudes a rich history and old-world charm, with its luxurious European-style decor. I had a bit of trouble initially finding the right entrance and the front desk within the building. I'd actually booked a city view room, but the front desk upgraded me to a stunning lake view room – seriously, you *must* book a lake view! The terrace views were absolutely breathtaking!! The room itself wasn't huge, but it did have air conditioning. The bathroom was a tad small, mainly due to a large, rather useless cabinet taking up unnecessary space.
