Brand new and absolutely stunning! Make sure to book a lake view room, the scenery is breathtaking. The service and facilities are excellent too. The mini-bar is mostly free, and breakfast is quite good. For Switzerland, it offers great value for money. If you're not planning an extended stay in Interlaken but rather just visiting the main attractions, I'd recommend staying in Lucerne the whole time, then flying in and out of Zurich.

Overall, it was excellent. Both the facilities and the service were perfect. Upon entering the room, we were greeted with exquisite welcome pastries on the table. The turndown service was particularly thoughtful; when we returned, a cloth had been placed under my camera lens on the table, and a fairytale book was left on my child's bed. The lobby opens right onto the lakeside, which is very convenient.

We left early in the morning, and to our surprise, the room wasn't cleaned when we returned. This was a very poor experience. We frequently book Mandarin Oriental hotels when traveling, in Singapore, Thailand, and Europe. This is the first time I've encountered this in Switzerland.

1 of the most grand & luxurious hotels I've stayed in Switzerland. Very international standard. The room is very comfortable & very high end. They gave complimentary chocolates, toothbrushes (the only hotel that provided these in the whole of my Switzerland trip) & Dyson hairdryer. The service from the staffs here is top notch! The spa is the best quality! My wife & I really enjoyed our time using the sauna, steam room & relaxation area. We went back twice. Also celebrated my wife's birthday at Minamo Restaurant. Best Japanese Omakase dinner we ever had. My wife & I discussed on how are we ever gonna look at Japanese food the same ever again.

The views outside are stunning, and the hotel's restaurants are excellent – it truly lives up to its reputation for having the most Michelin stars. They even gave us a small gift box after dinner. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Lucerne.

The hotel is brand new, and the daily cleaning service is very prompt. The staff are incredibly friendly. Its location by the lake is absolutely fantastic. When I checked out, they asked about my stay, personally walked me to my car, and even gave me a super cute little gift. A truly wonderful hotel!
