If you’re planning a trip to the Maldives, staying in a water pool villa is a must! Having your own private pool and direct access to the beach makes the experience truly unforgettable.

From the moment we landed at the Male international airport, we were greeted with great service. Bringing us to the Seaplane lounge before our flight was the first glimpse of the great hospitality we were about to experience throughout our trip. As soon as we landed at Jawakara Island we were welcomed by Azuhan (Azu for short), he was assigned to be our island host throughout our stay and attended to all our needs. Azu was patient with all our questions and requests. Azu then informed us we were upgraded from the Mabin water pool villa to the Dheru Island water pool villa. With it being more private and catered to couples. We had a Teppanyaki lunch at the Umi restaurant. It was AMAZING! We ordered the lobster and wagyu. Chef Matthew was funny and easy to talk to. He made the whole experience more enjoyable and memorable. Matthew if you are seeing this we hope you have learnt how to swim by now! The sound of the ocean glistened as we indulged ourselves in amazing massages. Both massages left us feeling even more mellow after. The masseuse catered to our specific needs and delivered a great relaxing journey! Furthermore, Jawakara doesn't only provide top-notch hospitality, but they are also doing their part for sealife. With its turtle institution rescuing turtles all throughout the Maldives and nurturing them back to health to release them back into the ocean. They also hosted reef cleanup and tree planting during Earth Day.

We had ten absolutely fantastic days at Jawakara. The islands and the resort are so beautiful, and I can’t recommend it highly enough to everyone—especially those of you with children. The marine life is so easily accessible прямо from the beach that even my four-year-old son, who can’t swim yet, was able to join us with his arm floaties and drift around among sea turtles, reef sharks, and stingrays. It truly exceeded our expectations. What elevated the entire experience even further was the staff. Our island host, Mohamed, was an absolute star—always ready to help with bookings and rebookings, as well as answering any questions or concerns. Everything was handled quickly, and nothing was ever a problem. Kumara at Saima was incredibly sweet and took such great care of us. The same goes for Indika and his colleague (whose name I unfortunately forgot to note) at Nika Bar. What I think could be improved is the selection on the bar snack menus—some healthier options, such as a fruit platter or a salad, would have been very welcome. It would also be great to see more salad options at the lunch buffet. There is also a need for a pergola or similar shaded structure where those snorkeling at the house reef can leave their belongings and have a chance to sit in the shade for a while. I also don’t think the PAI information should state that a bottle of champagne is included on arrival when it turns out to be a bottle of Prosecco. But overall, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to return to this fantastic resort.

Stayed at the Dheru villa with pool and would highly recommend it, the facilities and access to the white sandy beach was amazing and felt like we had the beach to ourselves. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you, we had the premium all inclusive package. Food and drinks were great and lots of choice. Also had bikes with the villa which was great to get around the 2 islands with the connecting bridge. Best holiday experience we have ever had and will be back.

Each meal felt special, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. A highlight of our trip was our engagement during the Sea & Sand dinner, which was nothing but exceptional. The setting was magical, the atmosphere incredibly romantic, and every detail was perfectly arranged, making it a moment we will cherish forever. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the outstanding service. Every team member was attentive, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making us feel welcome. A special mention must go to Naffaz, the best island host anyone could ask for. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made a huge difference. He anticipated every need, ensured everything ran smoothly, and added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. The activities and facilities on the island are also fantastic, offering the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure. Whether it was snorkeling in the vibrant reef, enjoying water sports, or simply unwinding by the beach, there was always something to enjoy. Overall, Jawakara Maldives is a true paradise that delivers excellence in every aspect. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable island escape. We can’t wait to return!
