New Orient Landmark Hotel

After checking in, the front desk upgraded my room. It was a very spacious room, which is excellent value for money in Macau, where space is at a premium. However, the room had a musty smell and the facilities were a bit old, so the overall environment wasn't great. On the plus side, the location is superb, with major entertainment venues right next door, which is very convenient.

Zero-star experience! I'm utterly disgusted by the insect bites and appalling hygiene. My stay at your hotel was an unprecedented nightmare. I was bitten by unknown insects 25 times, resulting in red, swollen, intensely itchy, and painful welts. I couldn't sleep at night due to the itching, and after scratching, they oozed and scabbed over, and still haven't healed. When I reported it to the front desk, the staff were dismissive, merely providing a cheap bottle of insect repellent, with no follow-up whatsoever. What's even more infuriating is that upon lifting the mattress, there were obvious stains and tiny insect carcasses around the edges. The back of the bedside table was covered in dust, and there were even leftover hairs and debris from previous guests on the carpet. The inside of the toilet bowl had yellow stains, and the shower drain was slow, causing water to pool above my ankles when I showered. The 'daily cleaning' apparently only involved changing towels and tidying the bed, with no deep cleaning or disinfection at all. This isn't a hotel; it's a parasite breeding ground. I've sacrificed my health to test this place for everyone else – please, for your own sake, avoid it. I have already filed a complaint with the health regulatory authorities and am retaining all medical receipts to pursue legal compensation.

This is my go-to hotel every time, but it's a shame they no longer have a playground. The little handmade flowers from Ivy, the beautiful lady at the hotel, were a very thoughtful touch.

Always a great stay, and this time I was on the top floor with an amazing view. The room size was decent too. They have an East Wing and a West Wing. I've stayed here at least ten times now. It's highly recommended if you're exploring the Old Town.

I was happy with the hotel's location, it's very close to all the major entertainment venues. What I wasn't happy with was the room itself; it was incredibly small, with barely any space to move around. My companion's room was much larger, while ours was exceptionally tiny. The service attitude was also quite mediocre. I asked to have the bedsheets changed and was refused. I never expected that in Macau, a place known for its service industry, the service could be so poor. I've never experienced such a refusal in any other hotel I've stayed at. Plus, after lying on the sheets, I felt itchy and developed red spots.

This is an older five-star hotel, and relatively speaking, it offers good value for money. My stay happened to be over the weekend, but the weekday rates are quite a bit lower. The location is also pretty good.

The room was great, and the breakfast in the morning was also excellent. It's definitely worth staying here; I'll come again next time. It's very convenient to get to the casino, and the night view is also beautiful. It's really worth experiencing.

I always stay here when I visit. The room is a good size, and the bathroom is huge. They've removed the casino, so it's much quieter now. Plus, they even have a dehumidifier in the room, which is a nice touch! At just over 600 on a Friday, it's pretty good value.
