Petit Hostel Palacio Real

The 12-bed dorm was pretty good overall. It had air conditioning that went down to 19 degrees Celsius. There are lockers under the beds which you can lock with your room key card (each person has a unique card). If you have a lot of luggage, there are also external lockers available for a fee. This hostel doesn't have a place to hang laundry, but they do have a washing machine and dryer, which cost 7 Euros to use both. One female staff member from Mongolia was very friendly and welcoming. However, there was a young local Caucasian female staff member who was unfriendly; she was dismissive to everyone and impatient when asked questions. All the other staff members were nice. If you want a free drink, you need to leave them a good review, but at the time, I could only choose a can of beer.

Great location, very close to the subway station. The room was clean, a bit small, but the bathroom was surprisingly spacious and private to each room. The common areas were just right – not too big, not too small. Plus, there's a 24-hour front desk.
