Hostel Acacias

The only good thing about this hotel is its great location in the city center. However, the management and cleanliness are quite poor. The bed sheets, pillowcases, and blankets are not changed for each new guest. The kitchen is filthy and unusable for cooking, with only a dirty microwave. The facilities are average, though the shower room is just about adequate. The dormitory bedroom is overcrowded with too many beds squeezed in. Overall, it was a very poor stay experience.

I booked my tickets almost half a month in advance, but when I checked in, I was told the reservation was overbooked. Since we arrived late, there was no room for us. It was either cancel the booking or stay somewhere else. We had no choice but to go to another place they arranged for one night, which felt like a dormitory for migrant workers.

I was quite satisfied with the hotel's location, right in the city center. However, the management and cleanliness were quite poor. The bed linens were not changed for each new guest, the floors were not mopped daily with a damp cloth, let alone cleaned with disinfectant. The kitchen was quite dirty and cooking was not allowed; there was only a microwave, which was also filthy. The facilities were mediocre, though the shower room was adequate. The dormitory bedroom was crowded with too many people and cramped beds. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay.

Great location, and my dormmates were really friendly. However, a few of the shower stall locks in the bathroom were broken, and there was no hairdryer.

To check in, you need to contact them via WhatsApp at the entrance. The staff responsible for check-ins weren't very responsive, and I had to wait 5-10 minutes, even making a call to them. However, another staff member, an uncle who manages the hostel, was incredibly warm and genuine. I forgot my locker code twice and he kindly reset it for me. The biggest downside was definitely the room, mainly due to a strong odor. Some guests' body odor was so overwhelming and the ventilation wasn't good, which severely impacted the living experience. I couldn't sleep at all that night, partly because of the pervasive snoring from many guests. The continuous snoring led me to pack my bags and leave at around 3 AM. Overall, the facilities were fine, and the downtown location is excellent, but the room smell was just too much.
