Not a bad cheap option for 1-2 nights. Good location, next to Madrid Atocha station, within walking distance of attractions. Of the minuses: the heating did not work, but there was a warm blanket.

It is a hostle in the middle of old town Madrid. The building is old and has so much wonderful character. The room was small but if it had a chair instead of a 2nd bed it would have been great. The AC was awesome. The water taps were reversed hot for cold. It was a clean safe comfortable stay. I would recommend

You need a PIN number at the entrance. The phone number posted at the entrance is often on voicemail. It's hard to get through on the phone. You need a good level of English. Make sure you have a cell phone with a local SIM. It's difficult to get inside.
