We are two sisters travelling in Spain. The hotel are perfect for us. It is safe. At night the main door will be locked. It is located at the main street hence mostly walking distance to a lot of places especially for shopping. Location is very strategic. Front counter was very nice. We asked how to get a cab for airport in the early morning, they helped to book and rate is cheaper than bolt/uber. Need to climb a bit of stairs before reaching to the elevator.

This hotel definitely shows its age, but the location is great, and the rooms are large with a small kitchen. I'd recommend it as a good value-for-money option. The bathroom has been remodeled and was nice and clean.

This hotel is perfectly situated right on Gran Via, with restaurants, shops, and entertainment all within easy reach. The rooms are perfectly adequate.

The location is excellent, right next to the subway and bus stops. Despite being street-facing, once the windows are closed, you can't hear any outside noise at all. The room was well-equipped. It truly exceeded my expectations!

Espahotel is in a great location right on Gran Vía. Also only steps to the Metro and bus lines. The room was wonderful, really a junior suite. Great for the price!! The only problem was that the air conditioning was inconsistent. Sometimes it didn’t cool and sometimes it was too cold.

The location is similar to Wangfujing Street, bustling and lively, with many restaurants and shops nearby, yet the hotel itself is quiet. All attractions are within walking distance. Although it's a bit pricey, it saves on transportation costs. The front desk staff are a group of very nice men of all ages. During our week-long stay in Madrid, it was rainy and chilly, but the hotel room was well-heated, the shower was good, and overall it was very comfortable. The only drawback was the small room size, but that's common in Europe, and it's fine for a week-long stay.

Booked an extra bed room with my child. Lived on the 9th floor. It's the top floor. It's quiet, but there are no windows. There are only two skylights. It's very convenient to go to the attractions. There is a 001 free bus at the door to the Prado Museum, the train station, the Royal Palace and many nearby attractions. There is no free bottled water. You can only buy it yourself or drink the paid drinks in the refrigerator.

The location was especially good. We were pleased with everything about the hotel. I will stay at the same hotel next time I visit Madrid.

Its location is excellent, so they should take advantage of it and improve it. Points for improvement: ODOR - I don't know if it's the curtains or the carpet, but it has a distinct smell of old or damp. CLEANLINESS - Stained carpet and armchairs. The bathrooms don't look clean at all. IMAGE - When you return to the hotel lobby, you find all the sheets thrown out to take to the laundry. ORGANIZATION - They only give you one key.

Very well located, clean...everything was perfect

I thought it was an old, run-down apartment, but it turned out to be quite large. The room is a bit old but well maintained, with everything you need. I stayed on the 6th floor and it was very quiet. The location is very good, very close to the subway station and the old town. I highly recommend this hotel, which is relatively cheap on Gran Vía and in very good condition.

Good, but there is no place to control the temperature. The heating is sometimes cold and sometimes hot.

Very positive hotel especially for the location to the main sites of interest and entrance to the subway. My 5 year old daughter was granted free stay including breakfast. I recommend it to families
