Bakhan Village Resort

Well laid out resort with good views. Excellent restaurant and breakfast. Alternatives (basic street food) can be found in small rural village outside the resort. A walk through the village is recommended to get a feel for basic village life. All the small stalls are friendly. The resort manager will explain a circular walk of about 4 k through the village and surrounding fields. A relaxing and pleasant stay in congenial surrounds. Staff may not always have good English but are all very helpful. We much preferred the ease and tranquillity of Ba Khan near Mai Chau to our alternative resort in Pu Luong.

The breakfast has lots of selection, including fresh fruit and juices. They also have European options, lots of bread and sandwich material, omelette/fried egg, etc. We have worked on our laptop in the restaurant, by the pool, in the cafe. The internet in the cafe is most reliable and you get the best views. ⭐️ Staff is so nice!!! ☕️ Cafe has lots of selection. My fave is the ice matcha latte and smoothies, delicious. ⛰️ The pool is very large and has amazing views to the lake and mountains. It’s clean, there’s always space in cafe and restaurant and pool.

The resort is a hidden gem! 3 hours from Hanoi and it is worth the journey. Silent, rustic, enjoyable and somewhere we wished we could stay longer. We stayed here for only one night as a family of 6 in two rooms looking at the lake.We stayed on a weekday and there was only 10 people here! It is much bussier the staff said, on Saturday nights, and from May when children are on holidays. Our food for lunch was delicious, fresh and plentiful. The drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic had tastes for everyone! Milkshakes, smoothies, and fresh juices were kids favourites. We did a walking tour of the village, met the villagers and then tried local fruits. It was nice to see the sunrise from the hills below the resort too. Kids loved the pool, one of the best we've ever swum in. The Western food for dinner was OK, better to stick to what they do well though. Spring rolls, chicken salad and catfish were highlights. The rooms had everything we needed. Large balcony, comfortable beds, nice showers. Not luxurious but well appointed and maintained. If you are looking for quiet and are happy to eat in resort for all meals I'd suggest to come for 3 nights if possible.

Our experience at Bakhan Village Resort was wonderful. Our room had full basic equipment that we needed. It had a great mountain view and made us very comfortable. The service attitude of staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. The breakfast also satisfied us.

The resort is located in Ba Khan, Mai Chau, surrounded by stunning mountains and peaceful rice fields. It’s a perfect getaway for those seeking relaxation and a break from the busy city life. However, the location is quite remote, and getting there might be challenging without a private car.

From the moment we arrived, this resort exceeded every expectation. The staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail, making us feel truly valued throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed with breathtaking views that made waking up each morning a dream. The resort grounds were immaculate—lush gardens, crystal-clear pools, and direct access to the view of Da Giang river from the high mountain that felt like a private slice of heaven. The dining options were phenomenal, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. What really stood out was the peaceful ambiance and how well everything was maintained. Whether lounging by the infinity pool, or sipping drink at sunset, every moment felt relaxing.

We stayed at the resort as part of a tour, the views from the infinity pool were amazing, staff were delightful, the restaurants served delicious and fresh meals, and our room was spacious. He resort was booked out but didn't feel crowded at all.
