The Meriton on Main Beach

Didn't like the fact it was not one of the Meriton chain style places . Was very old looking but large rooms .. Shouldnt be advertised like the Meriton

Clean room, convenient loaction, 5 minutes walking distance from tram station of Main Beach, polite and supportive front desk staff

Very good Needed to stay for medical reasons it is close to all my specialists & hospital . Very easy place to stay .

I booked a 3 bedroom apartment for my son's 13th birthday for a weekend away. The unit was lovely and huge so you did not feel squashed or on top of each other. It also has designated parking for the units. The only thing I found disappointing was the cleanliness. The ensuite bin had not been emptied and contained used sanitary items from a previous guest and the saucepans had not been cleaned from a previous guest. That was not nice to find at the cost of the accommodation. But great location close to the theme parks (reason we booked this hotel) and walking distance to the Southport Surf Club was a bonus.

We stayed in a lovely and comfortable 2 bedroom apartment in a very well-located part of Main Beach, Gold Coast. Ideal if you don’t want to be right on the beach but prefer a short walk to Tedder Ave shops and restaurants. Would have been a lovely stay except for the inhouse noise of another apartment being renovated. Extreme noise – drilling and hammering – and which they did not tell us about until after we had booked and paid. Extreme noise – to the point where it simply wasn’t possible to either rest or indeed work (online) in the apartment while the construction was going on – just a few floors above us. We had no choice but to leave the apartment and go somewhere else while it was happening. Completely unacceptable that we were somehow not warned about the likely noise prior to us booking. Simply, had we known we would not have stayed there, as convenient as the location might have been. Check. And if they are still renovating – suggest you find somewhere else to stay.

Great location close to the cafes and shopping on Tedder Ave and still a doable walk to the beach.
