Chambre très jolie et bien aménagée Bon accueil Restaurant fermé le 1/1/24 sans information préalable, repas servi dans des bols en carton sur les tables basses de la réception. Mais ça c’était pour les chanceux, à peine cinq voitures dans l’hôtel mais il n’y avait pas assez de plats pour tout le monde, pour nous, c’était sandwich, et quel sandwich d’autoroute ! Conseil : réservez les soins au spa, avant d’arriver a l’hôtel car sinon c’est plein Quand au grand escalierpour accéder à l’espace piscine sauna non mentionné dans le descriptif de l’établis*****t Lorsque j’y étais le hammam, était fermé pour maintenance et pour le sauna, il n’y a que 2 places Tv : uniquement la TNT sans même une chaîne d’info en anglais J2, nous revenons de promenade à 17 heures en demandant si le restaurant est ouvert le soir, on nous dit oui à partir de 19 heures, nous arrivons vers 20 heures, et on nous dit qu’on a beaucoup de chance parce que normalement c’est sur réservation … l’information au moment où nous sommes passé au desk aurait été bienvenue Au final décevant pour un 4 étoiles mais 4 étoiles camping

We enjoyed the staff's reception, the room and breakfast. Just a bemol for traffic noise at 6 a.m. it woke me up. The staff is very pleasant, professional. They advised us to eat in Buffalo Grill of Barjouville, we were excited

The hotel generally well located in the center next to the train station. That is convenient in order to walk to nearby attractions, but the hotel has no car parking so that guests are being directed to public overnight parking in the city center, which is anything but inexpensive. The hotel as such is perfectly acceptable with renovated rooms. We had a junior suite for two adults and one daughter, but when we arrived in the evening we first had to find someone to arrange for a bed for our daughter as the room was set up only for two. Walls are rather thin here so you have little insulation and can hear others well in neighboring rooms. That was not a problem for us as the hotel wasn't full and we stayed there for just one night, but perhaps is less ideal if you stay longer. There is typically only one staff member on duty, so service is not the greatest. We asked for directions to a nearby restaurant but the attendant didn't even know the place that was recommended throughout in all relevant directories, on Tripadvisor, etc. Breakfast is fully self-service, including as to coffee with very basic prefabricated products, nothing special. What completely marred our experience is the fact that we had reserved and pre-paid our junior suite with breakfast included, yet at checkout were charged again separately for breakfast. That is perhaps a mistake that can happen, but was is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE is the fact that the hotel when dark when we contacted them subsequently after having left and realized the additional charge. Not a single response to this date even after multiple messages/emails sent asking for correction of the mistake. Such behavior is completely unprofessional and not to be excused. Hence, we would recommend to stay away from this place and go elsewhere.

Mon compagnon et moi avons aimé notre séjour dans ce Residhome qui est très bien placé pas loin du centre , la cathédrale et les restaurants. La propreté est irréprochable très important pour nous 😀. Le lit est confortable on y dort bien .le personnel est sympathique et nous a donné des conseils utiles pour visiter la ville . Le monsieur qui était là au moment du check out était très sympa tique et professionnel , il nous a donné envie de revenir en nous parlant de la fête de la lumière qui va avoir lieu en février ou mars 2024 . Nous le remercions au passage ☺️ Nous le recommandons et séjournerons là bas sans hésitation si nous retournons à Chartres un jour .

I've seen B'nBs with more products for cheaper. In a logi in France, the average price of a breakfast is €12 With a bunch of quality products. B'nB should revise downwards its exorbitant breakfast prices for the products offered. In addition, breakfast service is not extraordinary in the product design. There was only a piece of white bread at my arrival, and a little bread at cereals, I couldn't make more than two small white bread tarts it was not delivered all over the breakfast.

We are delighted to soon be staying at the Abbaye in early December to celebrate an anniversary! In fact, we made the decision to sacrifice a few days of our short Paris visit to make the most of this beautiful property. We had a few outstanding questions regarding logistics and in calling the hotel, I was provided with immediate answers, helpful insight, and absolutely superb customer service from the front desk and the reservation team. If this is any indication of what’s in store, I am thrilled! I’d like to especially acknowledge Rafael and Adele for their kindness, professionalism, and patience. We are truly looking forward to enjoying all the offerings of the Abbaye, especially exploring the grounds by foot and boat, wellness services, petting some farm animals, as well as indulging in the on-site activities and restaurants. This will be my partner’s first time to France and I know he is in for a memorable experience! I will happily update this review upon completion of our stay.
