Overall, the experience was good. The location is excellent, with many famous attractions within walking distance. The hotel is slightly old, but considering the price and that breakfast is included, it is definitely worth.

The room is big and spacious, though there is no window. Aircon is locked and can't be adjusted. Shower drainlet is very slow ,so half way in the shower u will find yourself emerged in the flood. Breakfast is decent and ladies in the kitchen are very friendly. The front desk male is rude. He was behaving in a way that clients are problems to him rather than income to the hotel.

Staying in a historic building was the most memorable part of my trip to Malacca. The room had high ceilings and the design was truly lovely. You could tell that every single item was carefully chosen and cherished. My room faced the street, so I did notice the noise from cars and motorbikes, but I was so tired that I still managed to sleep. Breakfast started at 8 AM and was light, with kaya jam available. I believe the owner handled my check-in, and it was quite moving to think about how this building has been passed down and maintained through generations. If I ever get the chance to visit Malacca again, I'd love to stay here.

This is a wonderful hotel where you can really feel the Baba Nyonya culture, right down to the furnishings in the public spaces, the lanterns, and the tapestries. The location is fantastic – you can easily walk to Jonker Street, Dutch Square, and even Sentosa Village along the riverside. Plus, it's set back one street from the main thoroughfare, so it was much quieter than I expected. The room was spacious, and the water pressure and temperature in the bathroom were perfect. When I had an issue with the room light, I contacted the front desk and they resolved it immediately. Minor drawbacks (if I had to point them out): * I booked an Advantage Room but there was no coffee machine. (Though I ended up drinking fresh juice from the drink stand so much that I didn't really need one anyway). * The shower room seemed like it hadn't been used in a while, and the cleaning was a bit subpar. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay. If I ever visit Malacca again, I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel.

One of the room i booked got stains on the bed sheet. Staff offered to have it upgrade to Executive Suite, yet the room is in bad condition too.. Drawer and floor have used tissue, bed sheet with terrible holes (sewn), dirty and cracks wall, stained ceiling and terrible condition tiles in toilet. Very disappointed as few year back they offered good service and clean room. The only PRO for now is the location.

The room was lovely and very spacious for a solo traveler. The hotel's overall decor was charming. Although it feels a bit old, I think the cleaning was well done. There's no elevator, so you'll need to use the stairs to get to rooms on the second floor. The free breakfast included bread, * and beans. For drinks, there was coffee, tea, and milk. The location is great, close to Jonker Street and within walking distance to other attractions. There's a laundromat conveniently located nearby where I did my laundry. The area in front of the hotel was quiet at night but well-lit with a few shops still open, so it felt very safe and peaceful, which was nice.

I stayed at AAVA Malacca Hotel during my trip to Malacca and here’s my honest impression. Pros: The location is excellent — right next to Jonker Street and the riverside promenade, perfect for exploring the city’s highlights on foot. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of hot water available for showers. The interior design reflects a charming Peranakan (Nyonya) style, which adds cultural character to the stay. Cons: Bathroom amenities are limited to a single 3-in-1 product, which may not suit all guests. No slippers are provided, which can be inconvenient. The hotel does not have an elevator, so carrying luggage upstairs can be difficult. Check-in timing was not punctual. Although the booking stated rooms would be available at 3:00 PM, I only received mine at 3:30 PM. Overall Impression: AAVA Malacca Hotel is a solid choice if you value location, spacious rooms, and cultural décor. It’s especially convenient for travelers who want to be close to Jonker Street and the riverside. However, guests should be prepared for some practical shortcomings, including limited amenities, no elevator, and occasional delays at check-in.

A good hotel in an old building, beautiful architecture, good room. I should mention right away that we stayed in the largest room with a balcony overlooking the river. Overall, everything was satisfactory. Breakfasts could be more varied, but you won't starve. All amenities, including a jacuzzi, daily cleaning, and friendly staff. The hotel is right in the center of the old town, everything is nearby and within walking distance. If you're not the pickiest person, it's a good choice.

The hotel door was closed when we arrived at the hotel, so we rang the doorbell. The Indian male receptionist was chatting on his cell phone for a few minutes until he noticed us and unlocked the door for us. He kept us waiting on the street in the heat for a good few minutes. He also didn't tell us the way up to our room when we were looking for the stairs. Terrible service and hospitality. A different person at the reception the next day. She never greeted us when she saw us going in and out, not even a hi, as if we were invisible. The hotel room needs a good update especially the bathroom ceiling. Don't come here if you want good services and feel welcomed. Jonker Street is very commercial and nothing unique. Malacca has very little to offer anyway. It's not worth visiting in general.

The hotel's room has a strange event. The glass will automatically cracked when just a little touch. The air conditioner is on to 26 degrees, but It will be cold to zero degrees so. I had to cover the quilt on my head, but the quilt can't pull down, I have to read the Bible inside the quilt so that I can pull down the quilt, It's really horrible! I packed my luggage and ran out from the room, the whole night I slept at the hall, I tried to reach the reception, but no one was on duty..
