Rosa Malacca

It's our second time staying at Rosa. Though the location is slightly away the action, it is quiet and peaceful at night. Still close to some good food if you know how to walk around the area. Grabcars can also get you everywhere. The staff is always friendly. Room is big and spacious and I love the firm mattresses. Housekeeping is good so rooms are cleaned well daily. Towels are looking a little old. The hotel is expanding so expect some construction noises in the day. Not a big issue. Hope the hotel builds a pool while expanding.

Had a short 1 night stay, last min booking. Main reason I choose to stay here is due to availability of parking. TV is a Google TV that can play any media via USB, if you have one. WiFi in the room is complimentary for guests, but speed wise is not the best, I ended up using my mobile data for better experience. Hot water is consistent and pressure is good, however the room I stayed in had an issue with the drainage which makes you stand in a puddle of water while showering. They provide toothbrush and shaver, which is good. However, if you need to use their iron, they only provide the basic iron without steam function. Not ideal for business travelers, lucky for me my shirt already ironed from home. What I don’t like about the room is they don’t have master switches on the bedside for you to switch of the lights. The master switches is located at the wall near the keycard insert. Breakfast starts at 7am the earliest, and the choices are okay. Their teh tarik is good though. But their room rate is really competitive, so can’t complain much for the price paid.

Accessible private parking. Friendly staff. Clean room with a comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast was simple yet tasty. Highly recommended for travellers visiting the historical city of Melaka!
