Great hotel for Melaka! Old baba nyonya house converted! Still kept some of the features. They even provided old coins as a token for welcome drinks. Rooms were clean and provided most common amenities! Room a tad small, would be good to provide a coach area. Car park insuffient for all guests but understandable for such prime area, able to find spots in surrounding. The bar kept running out of ingredients for cocktails etc, could improve. The toilet at the lobby could be cleaned more frequently. Breakfasts were generally well, especially the local delicacies!

The balcony room was great – super quiet since it didn't face the main road, and the room itself was spacious enough. I skipped breakfast at the hotel, though, because the restaurant had a strange smell, almost like they had pets or something. 😅 The small rooftop pool and sundeck were really nice too. I'd recommend going up after 6 PM. On weekend evenings, they usually show movies around 8 PM.

The value for money is pretty good. The hotel has a lovely Nanyang-style ambiance. The front desk staff can communicate in Chinese, which was very helpful. Upon check-in, we received two tokens that could be exchanged for drinks at the front desk. The breakfast area was a bit crowded with many guests, but other than that, everything else was quite good.

This hotel, a renovated old building, actually has a nice design touch. So why do I say the environment isn't good? It's because the room I was assigned faced the road. As soon as I walked in, I saw earplugs, but the window's sound insulation was very poor. Even past midnight, motorcycles were still speeding by, causing a lot of noise.

Enjoyed our stay at Baba House. The hotel has a unique charm and is well maintained, making the stay comfortable and relaxing. Its location is very convenient, as it is close to Jonker Walk, which made it easy for us to explore nearby attractions, food spots, and shops without much travel. The rooms were clean and pleasant, adding to a positive overall experience. Most importantly, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would consider returning in the future.

We stayed at Baba House Melaka to celebrate our New Year and anniversary as newlyweds, and it was lovely. The hotel is cozy, uniquely designed, and perfect for a couple’s getaway. Friendly staff, great location, and a peaceful vibe made our stay comfy and so relaxing. So recommended! ✨
