Check-in was a butler service. An uncle led us along the way and told us where the gym was and the opening hours of several restaurants. When we arrived at the room, our luggage had been delivered to the room and stored. This hotel is in the old town, diagonally opposite the Picasso Museum. The address is unbeatable. There are many delicious food nearby. Beautiful rooms and very central location. It is in the heart of the city centre so you are aware of that around you but didn't find the surrounding life to be intrusive. We had a problem with a noisy neighbouring room and the staff handled it with panache and were so helpful. The hotel is beautiful and all the staff from front desk to restaurant to service staff are all so friendly and helpful which makes such a difference in this standard of hotel. For myself, I found the beds much too hard for me (although I suffer from sciatica). However I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's a very special place

Booked family room, was instead given 2 rooms
Next 2 each other with no interlocking door. We have a 2 year old and 5 year old! Hotel threw us all in a double stead but refused to refund family room rate. Quite astonishing for a so called luxury hotel

The Palacio Solecio occupies a beautiful building that has been refurbished to the highest standards. It has the feel of quality and luxury. The bedroom was a little disappointing - small with the very comfortable king bed taking up the vast majority of the room. There was only one chair that was difficult to manoevour owing to the lack of space. This was disappoinitng. The television chanels were also very limited with only two Englich language programmes available - both news and cutrrent affairs. Not a huge issue but in a hotel of this quality, this failed to meet expectations.
