Nika Island Resort & Spa, Maldives

Beautiful is not enough to describe the island! The nature - gardens and the reef are as you are in heaven! The stuff is so nice and polite! The best place to feel nature and rest in absolute beaty and silence /only birds and sea/. About the rooms - perfectly clean, the towels and the sheets as they are new! The restaurant - great food many fish and well prepared . All the staff was very nice and polite, special thanks to Ahmed Wajech - hardworking and always ready to help. the organization of the island is perfect, Anna and Luca are always there to help you and inform you about activities, but delicate and if you need them. They welcomed us and were at the island all the time if you need info about everything. At the reception desk - Ishara was very polite and helpful. About the bar - the best coctails /as they are made in the bar in Europe / made by Amid Rai and Sashi. THAT WAS A GREAT VACATION. If you need privacy - every room has a beach in front and no one else can pass. For the rooms inside the island there is a public beach with the best alive reef . Julia Sirakova

I stayed at Nika for the first time with my whole family between the end of the year and the beginning of the new one. We didn't always have perfect weather, but that was the only thing lacking in this splendid place. The island is delightful, as is all the staff that pampered us throughout the vacation. Rarely have I found service like that at Nika. We booked the beach villas, which, in my opinion, are the best option in this resort. The private beach is something unique. As many have written, the highlight of this place is the incredible variety of fish you can see simply by snorkeling outside your room. Excellent food, and New Year's Eve was very entertaining and well-organized. This is a place for those seeking the Maldives of old, with a heritage that has, unfortunately, been lost in most of this beautiful paradise due to the invasion of large international hotel chains. A special thanks to Giovanna and Luca for sharing their deep love for Nika with us.

We just had our memorable & amazing stay at Nika Island Resort. Elena the host was super friendly & attentive to our needs & had arranged all the family activities seamlessly 👍🏾 She is very kind & cheerful and had been very caring throughout our stay. The food in the resort was really fresh 😋 with great variety of choices & the menu was amazing. Resort was relatively smaller but that was the best part as moving around was convenient & our stay was very much personalised with personal care 👍🏾 Family activies were awesome & Nika Island Resort had all them all such Diving, Manta Excursion, Whaleshark Hunting, Sunset Fishing, Snorkeling Safari and many more. Hassan was on board as the guide & he can spot Mantas far far away ! He brought us great memories & experience and always very attentive to the guests especially those with children ☺️ Overall an absolute 5 star stay and highly recommended for family with children. Nika has it all 🫰🏽

We went to Nika Island in Feb. 2022 for 2 weeks, stayed in one of the family beach villas. The house was very spacious, we loved the huge bathroom and the outdoor showers. And the access to our private beach ... The house was very clean and in good condition. House and beach were cleaned twice a day. The island is small enough to walk from one end to the other in about 15 minutes. All houses are embedded in beautiful environment with flowers and plants. There are several options for beaches, all slightly different

It's amazing journey in a very friendly and wonderful atmosphere, We felt every moment we are with our family. Simplicity is the best with actual nature. Thanks for everything Our best GRO Anna without forgetting Loca, Marta and lovely Joanna. Everything was amazing. Sea wit crystal water and fantastic reef with all amazing creatures like Manta, turtles and nurse whales sharks Restaurant and the food were great ingredients from the island itself, no wasting food. In Nika island you can deeply a true elegant experience in the Maldives, thanks to the wonderful nature and cristal water. Here you can explore the deep essence of Maldives thanks to daily excursions (I truly recommend to jump in the water and swim with Manta Ray) The staff hospitality makes you feel always like home (but always without shoes).

Amazing family owned resort in Maldives. The owners Matteo and Giovanna were always available making sure that all our needs were met and that our stay was comfortable. Very special thanks to Nicola, Marta and the dive center team as they provided the best diving experience to our kids who love diving and they got 16 dives in three and a half days.

We are frequent travellers to Maldives and recently spent a blissful week at Nika Island for the first time. And it was incredible… First, let’s start with the accommodation (we are a couple with their 17 year old daughter) – we booked the deluxe family beach villa (No 4) which is wonderfully rustic, very comfortable and so very peaceful… We had 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms (the master bathroom with an additional outdoor show was just amazing!) and a large living room (The only drawback perhaps could be the seating space in the living room is not one in which you can laze or lounge…but that’s really not where we spent any time.) The most amazing part is the private stretch of beach we had…truly luxurious to have that! Deck chairs, loungers, swing, hammock and an outdoor hot tub with soft silvery sand and gorgeous water and an amazing reef to swim to just 10 meters or so away. After 3 days here we moved to the family water villa (No 41) which also had 2 bedrooms—stunning sense of open space where had beautiful views of the water from our bed..so bright and nice. This is smaller compared to the beach villa but still very spacious for 3 of us…lovely! The only drawback is you can hear the soft hum of machines/ or some industrial noise from the local island right across, and the seating in the living room is very inadequate. The reef access from this water villa was wonderful. The Food was fantastic!! We were on a Full Board Plan...decent breakfast, incredibly sumptuous lunch (buffet and live pasta / seafood stations) and lovely elegant dinners which you could choose from a set menu...when the weather is good you are seated in a lovely outdoor beach setting. They also offered complimentary snacks from 7pm onwards at the sunset beach…really thoughtful and we enjoyed that immensely. The island was gorgeous: small, green and surrounded by an incredible house reef which so easy to access right off the beach. Whilst snorkelling off the beach, we saw large sting and eagle rays, sharks, turtles, an incredible array of fish and beautiful coral forests and even 1 eel and a lionfish…truly a marine paradise! (My very frequent exploration of the island’s reef led me to the belief that the best coral formations and snorkelling experiences were opposite Beach villas 6/7 ; Water Villa 37/36 and across the water sports centre close to the first beach villa.) The gym is small but functions well for holiday maintenance workouts, complimentary sunrise yoga sessions were so rejuvenating and the spa was truly blissful. A drawback is there is no swimming pool (except for the one in the spa which can only be used with treatments)..But then again...you’re in the Maldives…with the best possible natural pool of shallow turquoise water to swim in all around! The excursions organised by the dive centre were only available if more than 4-6 guests signed on – hence we were unable to go for the snorkelling-with-nurse sharks one.
