After two weeks at the Mercure Kooddoo Maldives, it's time to write a review of this resort. First of all, it should be pointed out that this was not the hotel initially planned for this second trip to the Maldives. For various reasons, the hotel we had initially chosen was no longer available. So rather than wait for a new offer from the travel agent, we preferred to make a new choice. We chose the Mercure Kooddoo Maldives after consulting various reviews on TripAdvisor. I can now confirm that what I had read on the Internet was actually the case. When we arrived at Kooddoo, the welcome at the airport from the hotel reception team was warm and very well organized. By the time we had completed the check-in formalities, we were already being taken to our villa on stilts. It corresponded perfectly to what had been described by the travel agency. By the time we had settled in, we had discovered the varied program of activities on offer at the hotel. We didn't think it would be possible to do so many activities on site. The most important point to mention, which confirms what I had read before deciding to choose this hotel, is the attention and kindness of all the staff on site, who work constantly to ensure that we have an unforgettable stay. Thank you to Ingyin and the reception team for welcoming us and helping us with all the little formalities. Thanks also to all the team at the Alita and Vista restaurants (Alisha, Joan, Rajesh, Desta, Smith, Yaman, Aleena, Avisekh, Shifa, Dharmika, Vjjwal and all the chefs Amsit, Handoko, Wipula, Nakala, Sugath and Ghahujay) for the great meals, the discovery of regional culinary specialties and the cooking classes. Thanks also to Kasun, Kamal, Pubudu and Yukthi (Kunal) who work in the bar to treat us to their various cocktails. Thank you to Bawantha who cleaned our Over Water Villa with great attention to detail, which was really appreciated. I'd also like to thank Dr. Daniel for the care he gave me when my ear was inflamed, and for all the laughs, which undoubtedly acted as a catalyst for the treatment 😉 And finally, a big thank you to the team at the sports center: - Shaffan and Shahid who guided us on the jet ski trips where we met dozens of dolphins and took some fantastic pictures. - Grazia and Agus for allowing us to dive again after a 30-year break. A little information for those who will be reading this review: diving is like cycling, you never forget it 😉 So we're going to enjoy this third and final week in this magical place and hope, why not, to be able to return one day. PS: my apologies if I have forgotten to mention someone or if a name has been misspelt. Yours sincerely Claude & Laurent Dreyfuss
