We stayed in a primer business suite… The food at the restaurant was v good The staff was very helpful The room was disappointing…. Windows looked into walks not outside, ( nothing like pictures advertised) pullout couch/ bed was very uncomfortable .

The room was a bit small and it's located in an alley, not directly on the main road. Everything else was great, and the service was excellent.

We spent 3 nights here. It was a good location and the room had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only concern was the shower but it worked out fine.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and loved the convenient location close to major attractions. Even though we had an issues with the restaurant due to some miscommunication, the staff was very understanding and responsive. Thumbs up 👍

Top in all aspects - nice and smooth from arrival until departure!

We use The Somerset for one night only at the end of our holiday at Angsana Velavaru as we had an early flight the next morning. From the moment we booked the hotel were brilliant assuring me of our stay and the fact they offer free transport to and from the airport and even communicate with the island hotel to ensure they will pick you up on time. All the staff were excellent and we ate in their restaurant in the evening and food was first class and well priced but also as Male is classed as a local island there is no alcohol. I really recommend this hotel for your pre flight or after flight it is excellent. Roger Chalk

Rather basic hotel, check in was a bit slow, but I can see the staffs are trying their best. Breakfast is very basic.

Old, environment around so dirty. Smelly room and towels look dirty …. However staff is nice and helpful, breakfast ok

Everything is very good. The breakfast is amazing. The shower is amazing, everything is clean. Complete toiletries, and excellent service.

As this is one of the transit hotels in Male, we thought that overall experience was great, the receptionist was very friendly and attentive, check-in process was smooth. The room is as per photos and expectation, comfort to sleep in is the most important one! As our usual hotel practice, we will take photo during check-in and before check-out just to be sure things are all in place 😉

For our 3 nights trip to Male we chose this hotel. Location was nice, and reviews. Was not bad, for the island it’s kinda nicest place you could find. 1-2 night would be more than enough.

I booked the hotel for one night before I transit to the resort next day as this hotel is close to the airport. My family was assigned the first floor and the room’s window and balcony are blocked by the buildings surrounding it with bad smell. I can only see pipes and AC compressor through the window against the wall. What makes worse is the the super loud noise of the aircon and the the compressor which is impossible to make ppl fall asleep. I have to use ear plugs but still too loud to sleep. The staff are friendly but the food is average compared to USD $200 per night we paid. It offers convenient transportation services with reasonable charge.
