You can see why so many guests return to this hotel. It’s small, relaxed, and has a great atmosphere. The bar team and pool area are excellent. The rooms are quite basic but typical of Greek self-catering accommodation. I must say that trying to contact the hotel before we travelled was difficult. Despite emailing a couple of times, my messages were returned as undeliverable. I also tried WhatsApp but received no reply. To be fair, when I eventually called and spoke to the manager, he arranged a good room for us. What we really liked was that the room was cleaned daily, with fresh sheets and towels provided regularly. Toilet rolls were topped up, and both the pool and hotel grounds were exceptionally clean and tidy. Z at the bar was also very kind and welcoming. What we didn’t like was the awful smell in the bathroom. We’ve visited Greece several times, so we’re used to the occasional drain smell, but our bathroom frequently had a very strong sewage odour, especially overnight. Even keeping the door closed didn’t help. Also, on one evening, the night manager sat in the bar area talking loudly until around 2am, which woke us and several other guests. That wasn’t particularly considerate. Overall, we had a good stay, but there are a few areas that could be improved.

Location for us was ideal, 5 minutes to the local beach, just walk down at the side of the Imperial (you can also use their beds and lively bar - bar staff Mike and Angelos are good fun 😊) Back at Sunny Suites the pool bar is excellent and the staff are all friendly, helpful and will look after you brilliantly 👍. Many thanks to you all - George, Pedros, Manos, little Manos and also Manos from the Geo Pass who calls in,👍Bravo Olympiacos😉 (that was a great night🇬🇷!) The rooms have pretty much everything you need for a self catering holiday, with the added bonus of good TVs in both rooms and... FREE Air-conditioning. Much appreciated, and makes the holiday a bargain. The cleaners were brilliant, and would come round daily. If you get fed up with Malame, local buses stop outside a 100 yards or so up the road with regular services to Chania (and all the resorts in-between, and in the other direction to Kolymbari and Kissamos. Finally please try Sophia's Restaurant over the road at Mike's, it's tremendous.

It's not very often you stay at a place that ticks all the boxes ,this place does the room was suberb overlooking the pool and sea it had free Aircon and free safe which in Greece is very rare the cleaner came every day and changed the towels the owner and George are very friendly serving snacks and drinks at the pool bar at reasonable prices The hotel it self is located on the main coast road but the road noise wasn't to distracting It's a short walk to the seafront restaurants which we did every night we stayed we would definitely return here next time we visit crete

Sunny Suites, I was pleasantly surprised, The rooms were modern and immaculately clean. ( thank you Daniela and colleague sorry I forgot your name).Not huge rooms however adequate for a family of 4 with a huge balcony which is extends the family space hugely. The pool is brilliant and spent we quality time relaxing in between hectic days sight seeing. The pool bar is a fantastic edition serving everything required for a light lunch or snack during the day. I'd like to say thank you Petros who looked after the bar on an evening, by the way Petros the honey was the best we have ever tasted. .George looked after the bar during the day.....thank you for your patience in helping to improve my Greek, and not forgetting little Manos...thank you You all worked very hard yo ensure everyone had a super holiday. Such great service and value for money. We hope to come back. The local beach is a pebble beach but it soon turns to sand as you go further into the sea. I really liked it, it wasn't crowded and the tavernas serve great local fare and there isn't a cost to use the sunbeds.

Sunny Suites was a amazing place to stay, perfect for me and my family, peaceful, relaxing and the staff are top tier, George, Pedro and little Manos are top guys so helpful, funny and nothing g is too much for them, thats why we are going back next year in 2026.

a lovely little oasis of loveliness and calm! perfect for a family of four, lovely rooms, great pool and bar area. the bar staff were absolutely fantastic and made our stay memorable and entertaining. they were extremely helpful in arranging trips to chania and elafonisi beach. thank you to petros, manos and george!!!

Could not fault anything about this place, it's small, quiet and restful, the staff were all lovely, everyone was warm and welcoming, pool was deep and cool which was ideal in the current temperatures and as others have said never a problem to find a space or a sun lounger. Lots of nice places to eat within walking distance, our recommendations would be the Taverna down at the shore and Mike's. Maleme itself is a small relaxed place, and theres good shopping along the coast at Platanias.

Clean, friendly hotel. Pool is gorgeous, short walk from the beach. George the barman was brilliant. Had the best time and would visit again.
