Hotel Sorra Daurada Splash

We had a nice stay as we went out a lot, the pools where great for the kids they loved the slides. Hotel food was cold and boring and had no details as to what you were eating. I had two kids 13 and 6 and couldn’t believe the amount of kids running around no parents in site! Nothing to do in evenings so lobby is noisy and not a nice place to be. Smokers on entrance stairs makes hotel look uninviting and smelly not nice for kids! No where to sit inside as hardly any seats in entertainment bit and no sitting outside. Overall ok but over priced hotel.

I booked a short break (4 nights) for my mums bday. The chosen hotel got changed last minute to here. I thought good location so will accept. Unfortunately this hotel is faaaaar from the relaxing break I was hoping for! Kids everywhere. Even when it wasn’t the bank holiday. Not an adult pool to swim in, 3 pools aimed at children very disappointing when you’re 2 adults. Perfect hotel if you are a 3-10 year old or have children that age! I would return if I’m in that situation however for now this wasn’t great for me. Pros: - few mins walk to the beach - close to train station - catered well for gluten free - rooms good size - slushies available - many cocktails included in AI - bar staff brought round watermelon & sangria Con: - no bath - no usb slot to charge phone - no adult pool - a lot of inexperienced staff - very noisy by pool - kids running round a lot - lack of consistency in food options - magic act felt inappropriate - chips in same fryer so not GF - no peaceful sun bed area Shout out to Tomas (unsure on spelling) the head chef who provided gluten free breakfast options every morning and created gluten free pizzas for lunch or tea. Even provided a separate toaster when bread was provided so no cross contamination which was great. Only issues with food was the lack of allergy labels so I had to ask what I could eat off the buffet and 2 days they had no gluten free bread which was a bit frustrating as all ‘regular’ guests had many bread options always available. Overall I would not recommend for a chilled break away as massively aimed at children.

Stayed here for ten days as a family of 7 and honestly I wouldn’t return after the experience I’ve had here most of the staff are rude and not very helpful food is average… entertainment wise well website says they have it but for the majority of the time we was here we had maybe 4-5 nights where we had entertainment witch wasn’t cracking, no music round the pool through the day and no entertainment for kids apart from a bit of foam every other day most night me and other family’s played music through our own speakers and entertained the children ourself by playing party music for them. Would recommend this hotel!!

Stayed here Monday - Friday as a solo parent with 11yo & 15yo. Hotel is nice, and clean, good standard of room although basic without kettle. No issues in regards to the staff. What I will say though is having read the reviews before coming out and thinking you have to give things a chance, is the food and lack of entertainment / outside space let it down. The food was bland and basic even for an all inclusive, my 11yo who is a good eater struggled to enjoy any of the food this week. A lot of the food is cold bland dry etc. Reviews did state a lack of entertainment and this is true. If there is anything on at all it’s usually dancing but you’ll have to wait until 10pm! The pool Area is fab and slides are great. No outside area to sit at night so you’re stuck inside the noisy echoing lobby / bar with kids running riot and noise from the arcade games which are the only thing for the kids to do. Nothing is self service like we’ve had at other hotels so you have to line up for ages at times even for a Coke. You also have to go stand outside the front of the hotel to vape / smoke! It’s like being at an English pub! Overall we did have a good week and everyone was really nice and friendly but a lot of people had the same complaints. You get what you pay for here, and although we didn’t have an awful experience we certainly won’t be coming back

Do not stay hotel has 2 night clubs underneath of hotel so Carnt sleep till after 4 am food always cold and repetitive Que over 20 mins for a drink not wheelchair friendly slides and pirate pool closed some staff very rude room not cleaned cleaners used to fold dirty towels and put them back on the rails would never return to this hotel Carnt eat food round the pool have to sit on the tables food not covered and flys all over. It if u like rabbit and fish you will be ok all good undercooked the pic of the gap is where the wheelchair wheels would get stuck

Really poor in all aspects. Room was never cleaned properly with rubbish left in wardrobe from previous occupants. The cleaners even left our door open all day after cleaning. Food is the usual deep fried freezer stuff, they ran out of cutlery, coffee cups and glasses in the restaurant. Staff are all incredibly miserable and not particularly helpful. When checking out they tried to hang on to our security deposit, which for our party was over 400 euros, our coach for the airport was waiting outside and we were lucky that one of our party spoke fluent Spanish and we managed to get it back.

The hotel is lovely. But the aircon is disgusting I had to go to reception today as myself and daughter have woken up really poorly. Both sore throats. Bad coughs. The unit was full of dust!!!! The food was average. Pool was the best part. The entertainment was pooh!! Never again will we be staying here

Not a great experience overall, very noisy hotel. Most staff were unfriendly and not helpful. Rooms are really small. As a family hotel it had a lot of issues, pool opened too late and closed too early, you spend most of your morning waiting for the pool to open and then there is a rush from everyone trying to get a bed. Nowhere near enough umberellas for a family hotel too . The evening entertainment started way too late which was a shame. There is a nightclub under some of the rooms at the hotel, we requested to move once we checked in due to the noise. After 4 times asking and the receptionist and the manger being rude and telling us the whole hotel is noisy and we need to deal with it, we finally got offered another room on the other side of the hotel on our second day which was a lot quieter. Food was good, hotel was nice and clean and modern. Pools were good for the kids which was the best part of the hotel. Overall wouldn't return, if you go request a room facing the pool to avoid the noise.

Honestly ignore the bad reviews, I was dreading this holiday after reading all the terrible reviews but I swear they must have gone to a different hotel, the hotel is perfect for young children the pool couldn’t be better and the rooms and hotel are lively and clean, the pools and surrounding pool area are cleanwe so thoroughly every day and really well maintained, the food was exactly what you would expect of a typical all inclusive but lots of choice, the only negatives I have is the entertainment was late and also terrible it would be nicer also if this was outside but it felt like a bit of a chavvy bar, music and entertainment round the pool in the day would also be better, it’s very Brit’s abroad but you get what you pay for, the area itself is nice and so easy to get a train into Barcelona, also the beach is lovely and one of the cleanest I’ve been to! Overall perfect for a cheap family holiday
