I have just left Luna Park and I have mixed feelings about my stay. That was my second stay and I did leave a positive review last year when I went with my husband. This I went on my one, mainly for the yoga and it was a different story. Let’s start with the positive. I’ve really enjoyed my yoga sessions so thank you Beatriz and Kirsy for your hard work. Kirsy, you’re a star! You made me discover and appreciate Ashantanga and your bath sounds sessions were extra special. Your teaching, patience and smile made me feel better about my stay so thanks again! This time, I was half board and again I’ve enjoyed the meals. There was plenty to choose from and the restaurant staff were all hard working and pleasant with everyone. So, thank you restaurant team! Now the negative! I had booked a standard room with a double bed through loveholidays and paid £716 for the room for the week but I was given a tiny room with a single bed that looked more like a hostel room ( photos below). When I went to reception and spoke to a lady, she first said to fill up a request to seen what she could do the day after. The day after, I was told to contact my agency to sort out the issue. Loveholidays had pocketed ththe money of a standard room but booked me that awful single room and the male receptionist didn’t want to help me in any way. In my point of view, he should be given the award of the worst receptionist in Calella for his lack of professionalism, being unhelpful, contradicting himself and telling me lies. Wifi didn’t work during the whole stay and he said twice that he would do something about it but again, nothing. The blond lady with curly hair had always a smile and made many promises that she didn’t keep! I was their top priority and they would move me asap but even when their booking centre advised them to do so for the last couple of days, they didn’t. Finally as I was going to check out at 7.30am so 30 mins before breakfast time, I asked whether I could have anything to eat and she replied that she would ask the restaurant to prepare a packed breakfast but there was nothing for me! It is a shame that the reception team weren’t really below this time and they made me feel very miserable. Would I go back? To Luna park, NO, the club, maybe for the yoga but definitely not on my own. Not taking any risk again!
