Me and my husband stayed two nights in one of the historic rooms in the main house. Very comfortable stay, but the overriding wow factors are the friendly staff and the incredible food! So tasty and well presented, and the service is impeccable. Highly recommended.

I have just had a 2 night stay here. What a lovely little gem . the building is old and authentic with fires and pads for dogs to lie on . The staff are so friendly and helpful. I came though for the food as I have been vegan for 33 years and when I saw the first vegan hotel I thought I must go. I was not disappointed the food was delicious the Sunday roast was lovely and the cheesecake divine. To top it all this little hotel is set in a truly beautiful part of the country with spectacular scenery and walks. Thanks so much for for setting up a vegan green ethical hotel I felt truly relaxed I will definitely return

Prepare for the narrow winding roads to get to the hotel don’t drive too fast. What a place though and the scenery is stunning. Make sure you do the walks and especially the waterfalls at Janets Foss and the Scar. The hotel is great really relaxing and awesome food and service

Had a great two night stay.Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate there the two nights and had excellent vegan food . Good choices and large portions. We went because of it being all plant based and it didn’t disappoint. We all said we would definitely go back.

This hotel property was beautiful and all of the food was delicious. We loved the cozy sitting room with the fireplace and meeting all of the other guests’ dogs. Breakfast and dinner each had several options. We also took a day trip to Haworth from the hotel, highly recommended.

We booked afternoon tea here after a long morning of walking. Lovely restaurant, and because it was a sunny day all the doors were open. Not too busy when we arrived and ordered our drinks and then not long after the afternoon tea was brought out for us. Everything looked good, but no-one told us anything about what we were eating. I took apart a few of the sandwiches to see what was in them and still couldn't work it out! Eventually I had to ask someone what was in them but they should really inform you when they bring the food out (or give you a sheet which says what everything is) The sandwiches were ok. Some of the bread was very dry and hard. I suspect they had been pre-made a long time before and left out. The scones were really good. Big, and had a good texture so they didn't fall apart whilst preparing them, and had a really good strong flavour of cinnamon. Although the cashew cream tasted good, it had a very airy texture so not really like 'proper' cream. The desserts were nice, but again we had no idea what they actually were, at I didn't want to call someone over to ask what they were as we took them away in a box to eat later. There was an issue with the bill as they had added my latte and my wife's soft drink on as well. When we originally ordered the drinks I asked if I could have a latte instead of tea, and my wife was told she could have a soft drink instead, and at that point we were not informed that it would cost extra. However, they agreed that the latte definitely should have been included, but not the soft drink. After I said that we were not told when we ordered it that it would cost extra they did agree to refund but when customer ordering afternoon tea ask if they could swap the tea with something else they should be very clear about whether this costs extra or not. Overall we did have a good meal and apart from the bill issues, the service from all the staff was very good. The price for the afternoon tea was cheaper than other places we've been to. Might be a personal preference of ours, but we do like to know what we are eating so some more communication is required. Not sure we'd come back for afternoon tea but maybe for a Sunday roast next time (as we saw some go past us which did look very nice)

We had such a lovely overnight stay at Beck Hall for my Birthday. We were made to feel very welcome and at home. Staff and food were all amazing. It is such a delight to be able to choose anything of the menu and know it is vegan. My husband is not vegan but he enjoyed the food too. We had coffee sat outside and had the pleasure of seeing the resident Kingfisher after a member of staff pointed out the best spot to see it. We stayed in the old part of the hotel and our room was delightful as was our en suite. If there was anything I would say could be better, it would be that we could have done with newer pillows. We walked to Malham Cove on the first day and Janet’s Foss on the second. Both were easily accessible and worth visiting. We would definitely return again.

Positives- Set in a beautiful area and very friendly staff. Negative's- Unfortunately when we stayed there were 3 of the main meals not available, two of which I had really wanted to try,was told they would be available the next day,but as I mentioned we were only there for 1 night. The room was dated and the patio doors led out onto a patio, but this was used by other people!!,and it was also a walk way, so you had no privacy at all and had to have the curtains shut!! The room was very expensive for what it was and not being able to have your curtains open was not ideal. I addressed my issues with the hotel but have not received any reply from them.

We were THRILLED to find this gem of a VEGAN hotel in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The staff do a great job of making everyone feel welcome. The location is fantastic for its beauty and wonderful walks. To top it all, the food, all plant-based, is the best bit.
