Billionaire Beach Front Apartments

Had lunch with my boyfriend at the resort before my flight from Malindi. Very great ambience with an exceptional beach view…WE LOVED IT 😍 😍😍. Food was great and the mocktails amazing! Very warm and friendly staff. Hilary was amazing at the restaurant….they made us feel very SPECIAL! Definitely going back! We HIGHLY recommend 👌👌👌🥰🥰🥰

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at one of the villas. The staff were fantastic, especially our concierge, Gloria -- their hospitality and good nature made the stay that much better. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Malindi.

The Hotel is TERRIBLE!!! This is by far the worst hotel ever. I wouldn’t even give it one star. The restaurant always served the food undercooked or overcooked. Always arrived late & never on time. The hotel staff purposefully turned off our phone in our room so that we couldn’t complain to them. All room service arrived in minimum 2 hours. One time, me & my friend went to breakfast & we both ordered omelets. My omelet came in an hour & his in another hour. SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE!!! The actual rooms aren’t better with a certain mood reminding me of a small apartment in Russia during the Soviet Union. The reception was no better, when we arrived at the hotel, we had to register an email where a verification code had to arrive to my phone. Unfortunately, the hotel Wi-Fi wasn’t working & I didn’t want to pay for expensive data in Kenya so I had to wait 4 hours under the sun before I could even visit my room. I am being honest, if you are someone who understands luxury hotels & expects at least a good experience, don’t even bother with this hotel. If any hotel management sees this, you should be ashamed of yourself. On a positive side, I met the chef of the restaurant who was very nice & made very nice sashimi out of the fish we caught during our fishing trip in the Hemingway hotel. (That was a much better hotel just from 1 hour we spent there) !!!FIX YOUR HOTEL!!!

Initial transfer and check in - excellent first impresion. Room - good except that the air condition was loud and old (and the sleep option didn't work). Kettle only worked if a light switch on an opposite wall was also switched on (bizarre). Food - good. Service - major issues with service where male staff did not listen or accept my requests without significant pushback and negotiation. Examples include food orders, pool service, transfers, and beach service (at Billionaire). There was a significant lack of respect for a solo female traveller (first time experience after several months of solo travel and work in Kenya). General facilities and atmosphere - flies everywhere including by multiple pools, at the open air restaurant for all meals, and the reception building. Restricted access to beach beds at Billionaire. Loud music from swimming pool and beach bars. I wouldn't come back - there are plenty of alternative options on the coast at the same price level with better facilities and significantly better service. Examples include Chale Island (Diani), Manda Bay (Lamu) and Lonno Lodge (Watamu).

The worst experience I’ve experienced and so very frustrating and disappointing trip. We were booked by my son to celebrate our anniversary and it was the worst anniversary we’ve had. The rooms were fantastic but there was nothing body lotion and only brought when asked for. Then there was nothing body lotion creamer for tea coffee. We called them three times within half an hour and finally they called back saying they had run out and they could provide fresh milk instead which would be charged. Then the two nights we were there we were thrown into their sister hotel to go for dinner which had a dull atmosphere without any ambiance. We asked for rose wine which came after all the starters were over as they’d run out and had to go to the store in our hotel only to find. We were paying a premium price at our hotel so why were we pushed into a lower priced hotel to have dinner. The beach beds didn’t have towels as they’d run run out even though it was low season so hardly any guests. When I ordered a pinacolada on the beach it didn’t come for 45 minutes and I had to walk myself to the bar to find out what the delay was to be told they didn’t have all the ingredients to make it. The two days we were there there were so many things which went wrong and all they said was we are sorry

Every time I come here - mainly for work - I forget how disappointing this hotel is. It’s really a way for the owner Italian Formula One driver to stash his antique and overcharge guests. The AC doesn’t work, no hot water in the bath / shower. Food is ok, S.p.A. and pool are the only reason to stay here but beautiful rooms are useless if not maintained.

Went there for a group dinner with friends. The 3 lobsters of my friends were not properly cooked...but one of the lobsters arrived after all of us (8) had already eaten...and still arrived mostly raw and was sent back to the kitchen (i saw lobsters from other tables going back to the kitchen, and please note that that is the most expensive plate from the menu)...anyway, the starters were nice, the cocktails were not bad...but the service was subpar, I felt really sorry because they have everything to do well (this coming from a tourism professional with experience in both Europe and Africa). After we have paid the bill and were about to leave, we remembered that we paid a deposit to book the table, and such deposit had not been deducted from the bill, so we went back to get the deposit, the staff were so disorganized, I think the owner had to intervene and we received the deposit back). No apologies from the restaurant manager. I really hope they invest in training they're staff, specially the expat staff...

The best gift for my birthday was my boyfriend booking this place for our first night together. From the reception to the housekeeping staff..Amazing! The serenity is healing! Clean,spacious rooms. Beautiful lawns. Well done food..Thanks to the chef. Our evenings at the bar were made interesting by Nelson and Rachel..epic services there. Fatma with a warm smile,checking on us frequently was heartwarming. Not forgetting Pendo the room steward..thank you for the room decor and oooh the Spa session!unforgettable! It was an absolute blast to be there. Thank you all.We’ll definitely come back some day.
