Silver Rock Hotel & Beachfront Apartments

The location was prime! Beachfront stunning and beautiful, while at the same time a short tuk-tuk or boda boda ride from the centre of town where all the shops, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, nightlife and people are. A short beach stroll away you'll also find the Coco Beach Restaurant, where you can enjoy a few nice cocktails and a tasty meal while overlooking the Indian Ocean. The hotel staff were beautiful people—lovely, professional, warm and welcoming. The hotel serves a lovely breakfast that was included with my booking. There is a spa on site. The ladies who manage this are the sweetest and provide an amazing service. I had a full body massage at the beginning of my stay and it was heaven. I can’t wait to stay at Silver Rock Hotel again. My two-bedroom apartment that I shared with my partner/friend was stunning, spacious, beautiful, awesome, with a huge balcony staring into the ocean. Breathtaking views for watching the sunrise. We had a huge living room, and our individual bedrooms were spacious with large ensuites. I felt comfortable and elegant there. The hotel building is a beautiful structure, solidly and well built, and I love the style. I felt comfortable and at home there. After a busy day of touring and sightseeing, enjoying the surrounding areas and living my best life, it was a pleasure to return to the hotel, have a nice shower, sit on the balcony with my partner with a beer in hand and have a nice chat, while listening to the ocean lapping the shore and feeling the gentle wind blowing—soft and warm, yet cool. Silver Rock is poetry. Nearby there is plenty to do, as I mentioned above, but I'd like to give a quick mention to the marine conservation area, where you can visit and arrange sea-based activities. Also along the coast the ocean can change dramatically, so go searching for those crystal clear waters and soft, beautiful sands—they are there and you will find them. Go find the inviting beach bars that I discovered with my companions, where you can laze all day, sip cocktails and look out to sea, chat about nonsense as we did, take a nap on a sunbed under an umbrella, wake, sip and chat some more. Silver Rock is a destination in and of itself, but on top of that it is more than a base—it is a comfortable home from where you can explore. xx P.S. Yes, there is a beautiful pool for a nice, refreshing morning dip, set in stunning, well-maintained gardens—perfect for idling and just the right place for tucking into a holiday book.

We turned up on spec to see availability and choices for a 2 night, two room stay. Emily was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble showing us four different options from the suites to rooms with and without a/c. Nice clean pool with towels and loungers, saw pool guy dosing the pool. Close to beach from our rooms and easy to locate tut tuts into town (about 400bob). Fridges provided and a kettle. We had an issue with the a/c noise disturbing our neighbours so moved which was no hassle due to not been able to repair. Overall a fabulous stay in January. Would recommend. Excellent choice of Italian restaurants.

Stayed for two nights. Rooms available are both A/C or non A/C. I checked in a non A/C room costing kenya shillings 3000/= a night (exchange rate on 21/05/22 £1=140 kshs). Decent size room with a nice balcony and view into a nice garden and swimming pool, partially. King size bed with mosquito net was a bonus. Room lacked TV, a disappointment, however broadband speeds were OK. Mattress was nice and firm as was the pillows. Small swimming pool but it meets the needs. Beach was just five minutes away. Was told by reception she will throw in breakfast for free. So not sure if breakfast is inclusive of price. Breakfast was basic really, baked beans, 2 slices of buttered toast, 2 eggs cooked to your preference, 2 sausages and tea and coffee. Bathroom was a decent size one although shower was luke warm and did not dispense water generously. Using the toilet was a challenge. Being 6ft 6in tall it was a struggle to be able to seat comfortably since the wall facing the toilet was rather close. All in all suitable for someone with a small budget in mind. Clean place, nice quiet and tranquil surroundings. Give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars

When we settled, they asked at the reception about security, we were assured that everything is fine and there is protection. When we woke up in the morning at 6 am, they found that thieves climbed into our rooms at night and stole things, phones, documents, and the phones were in bed where we slept. When we found that we were robbed and reported to the staff, they refused to call the police and waited for the manager, eventually came the manager and we ourselves went with him to the police on our car. Police could not help us with anything, but we left statements. According to the result, we ourselves found the documents that thieves were thrown out, but the phones and things we did not find it, no compensation offered the hotel, except to spend the night of the second night for free. Choose more expensive hotels with good protection and high fences.

i went to this amazing property located on rocky malindii ocean.it has 22 specious rooms with suites on top floor.and 5 apartments right at the beach front. it has an excellent rocky slope with nice floors. the hotel is very quiet and romantic ideal for holiday makers and honeymooners. the lady at the reception is extremely friendly and my business host cecilia is an amazing lady too with high standard of customer and care. i will certainly come back with my family and have this lovely serene hotel.

I took my cousin's here for a family getaway and we had a beautiful family room overlooking the beach, large accomodating everyone's needs. A shout out to manager James for looking after us through the whole experience, and King George who managed a full day boat trip with lunch included.
