Crowne Plaza CONSTANTA - MAMAIA BEACH by IHG

Very good location, i would consider it one of the best in Mamaia

The room was amazing, the view was great and so was the cleanliness of the entire property, not just my room. On the downside though, we had a huge 2 hour delay with our check-i because our room was not ready (checked in at 17:00 instead of the guaranteed 15:00). Moreover, during one of the evenings we decided to order room service, which would not answer the phone, and when we called the front desk they said they can collect our order. After one hour and a half of waiting, we call the front desk again, asking how much longer until our food arrives, and they said soon. 20 minutes or so passed, my partner went to the reception to ask about our food order, to which he found out that the reception has never sent our order. Though, the employee's were very nice and had a smile on their faces when interacting with them!

Great opportunity to see and experience this new hotel which is very close to beach

"Our hotels are dedicated to providing exceptional service and a memorable stay for every guest." This is what IHG's website states about Crowne Plaza hotels. The hotel itself is clean and modern. However, there is hardly anything to see in the surrounding area. The adjacent nightclubs blast music so loudly that the window frames vibrate from the power of the bass, and earplugs do not help with this noise. The music stops around 01:30. It is quieter during weekdays. When we went to the pool, we fetched towels from the spa section. The woman working at the spa told us that if we positioned ourselves on the white sun loungers, we had to order for 200 RON, and if on the yellow ones, 350 RON. This is a scam, as the use of pool and beach loungers is free of charge for hotel guests. The service was slow at the pools and the beach. Even though we had Diamond Elite wristbands, we were ignored. I even waved at one of the waiters, and they just waved back and continued to other customers. It feels like if you are a foreigner, you receive worse service. Nothing much to see in Mamaia.

Very nice near new five star beach front hotel with comfortable and well decorated rooms. Comfortable beds, siting area and great sea views from balcony. Excellent facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, plenty beaches of beach loungers, sauna and steam room in the wellness centre. Let down a bit by having only one restaurant option on site (and very limited other options nearby), which had variable quality food - breakfast buffet disappointing (quantity over quality with machine coffees and juices and supermarket yoghurt containers , but lunch/dinner much better). Service generally tried to be helpful even if a little inattentive. Still sorting out a few things but lots of potential.

The best! Theodora,Rooth and Camelia! Very helpful and professional! Outstanding and I will recommend and come back! Matthew from Chicago-Brasov
