Disappointing Return Stay – Poor Standards and Uncomfortable Beds
Having had good experiences at Sachas Hotel Manchester Piccadilly twice before, we booked two rooms for a 2-night stay. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing.
Room Setup: Upon check-in, the TVs in both rooms weren't working properly (though fixed later that night), and neither room had a phone to contact the front desk, which is very unusual. Management should ensure rooms are fully ready before guests arrive.
Beds & Service: One double bed had a very hard spring mattress with only a thin sheet. When I asked maintenance for an extra duvet to cushion it (like the other room had), the staff member dismissed it saying it was "new," promised to check at the desk, but never returned.
Housekeeping: Staff refused to clean or tidy the room, stating housekeeping only happens after the third day. Leaving rubbish in the room for the entire stay without even emptying the bins is completely unhygienic.
Given our previous positive visits, this experience was very frustrating. Between the lack of room checks, missing phones, hard beds, and rigid housekeeping rules.
