QGreat location, many eateries and close walking distance to Beijing road metro. Our room had awesome river views with sunrise. Atour is our favorite hotel chain.

Perfect location and super near the railway station. A couple hundred meters from the city shopping area.

Front desk staff (one male and two females) was unwelcoming, and was lack of courtesy, when we checked in at 4:45 pm, July 13 2024.
It's obvious the staff was in lack of hospitality training.

The soundproofing is extremely poor!!! I have stayed in hotels thousands of times on business trips, and this is the first time I give a bad review to others!! It is really disappointing!! My colleagues and I often choose Atour, but Maoming Atour is the one I feel most disappointed with. I have been here several times before, but I didn't pay much attention to it because the schedule was in a hurry, but this time I really couldn't stand it. It was too noisy and I couldn't fall asleep at all. The hotel is a renovation of an old store. You can see from its floor distribution and facilities that the sanitary conditions are really average. Living on the 12th floor, you can clearly hear the sound of disco karaoke downstairs, and even clearly hear the alarm of electric vehicles on the first floor. The soundproofing is really super poor!!

This is my second time staying at Atour Hotel. The first time was the one next to Shanghai Film Studio. The result was just as bad as the first time, the service was terrible! Bad attitude! Poor process! The one in Shanghai also has a poor environment! Poor hygiene!
Let me talk specifically about this hotel in Maoming. We were two families traveling together. We had three children, one who had just finished the college entrance examination and two girls who were in junior high school. We booked three rooms, and the three children stayed in one room. As a result, the children were arranged to stay on the 10th floor, and we, two couples, stayed in two rooms on the 14th floor. As a result, each room card can only go to its own floor. As parents, we wanted to go to the 10th floor to see the children, but we couldn't. We asked the front desk to give us two more room cards for the 10th floor, but the answer we got was no. Each guest can only open one room card. If one more is opened, the other one will be invalid. I told the front desk what should we do if we want to go see the children? The weird answer was that they either let us take the fire escape stairs, or go to the lobby on the first floor and ask the front desk clerk to swipe our card before going up to the 10th floor.
