The location is a big plus, with its own private beach so you don't have to deal with crowded public ones. It's super convenient for watching both sunrise and sunset. They have an infinity pool and a kids' water park, making it very family-friendly. Guests also get free entry to Romantic Coast and free parking. The lobby has a nice Southeast Asian style, great for photos, and the breakfast selection is extensive. The front desk staff, especially Wei Min, provided excellent and responsive service. It's worth noting that if you prioritize ocean views, the beach, and a resort atmosphere, this is a great choice. However, if you're looking for brand-new facilities, you might need to lower your expectations. It's perfect for a short weekend getaway by the sea.

This stay was fantastic! The sea view room offered a stunning panoramic view, and the room was spotlessly clean with comfortable bedding. Watching the sunset by the sea was so therapeutic. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The whole place had a wonderful holiday vibe. I'll definitely be back!

The environment is fantastic, directly facing the sea. The rooms are clean, hygienic, tidy, and comfortable. The pool is clean and clear, and the children's water park is clean and safe. The beach is right in front of the hotel, very close, and there's even a fireworks show in the evening!

I chose this hotel because it's right on the beach. Once I got to my room, I saw the balcony faced the ocean, offering an unobstructed view of the sea and sky – it really doubled the enjoyment of my trip! 👍👍👍 The hotel's shuttle service also made getting around so much easier for this trip! 👍👍👍 The front desk lady and the shuttle driver provided really warm and thoughtful service. 🌹🌹🌹 I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

Going back in time, I've just realized this is my fifth visit to Romantic Coast and the Wyndham in ten years. I have vivid memories and deep feelings for every change here. Although the hotel's hardware facilities are clearly out of sync with modern demands, it's still worth looking forward to. The Concentric Bridge on the coast is long gone, but I hope the original intention remains unchanged, and they continue to strive to create a warm and romantic holiday paradise!

The hotel rooms are big, spacious and have luxurious bath tubs. The main swimming pool is clean, has ample deck chairs, and looks over the beach. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection for western and Chinese guests. There is a promenade that goes from the hotel to the beach area, where in the evenings, there is a bar and live music. Outside the resort are a few local restaurants and supermarkets. I like the resort - it caters to most needs. There was no Spa available during this visit - but a 10 minute taxi into the nearest town, we were able to find an adequate back and foot rub.

The hotel is nice and the room was really beautiful. There are only 2 hotels in the area, though, and they are walking distance from one another. The beach near the hotel is very nice. There are not many things to do except swimming in the sea, having Chinese food and renting a scooter to go round the area, which in total takes around 20 min. I definitely recommend going but maybe for 2-3 days only.

✨ I spent a long weekend alone at the Wyndham Maoming, and overall it was a pleasant stay with some limitations. The weather was amazing, perfect to enjoy both the swimming pool and the beach. My room was spacious, with a huge bed and a balcony that opened directly onto a water corridor where you could swim. The hotel pool itself was very enjoyable, offering a beautiful view of the sea. 🎭 The area around the hotel was lively, with entertainment shows especially during dinner time. However, despite the presence of restaurants within the hotel, none were open during my stay. The restaurants in the complex had restricted hours and limited variety, and the spa was also closed. 🍳 On my last day, I woke up early to have breakfast and enjoy the pool one last time. To my surprise, the breakfast area was closed. I waited and returned later, but it was still closed. I messaged the hotel staff on WeChat and waited in my room, but when I checked again, it remained closed. Eventually, I went to reception and was told that breakfast that day was being served at the Sheraton next door, as they seem to alternate locations. 🕒 Later, the staff member replied to my message and quickly arranged a late check-out so I could enjoy the pool a bit longer, which I appreciated. 🌍 One challenge was the language barrier — almost no one spoke English, and unfortunately I don’t speak Chinese. I believe the service could improve significantly if more staff members spoke English, as this would attract more international guests and broaden the hotel’s clientele. 🌴 Overall, the location was beautiful and tranquil, perfect for relaxation, but the limited dining options, restricted schedules, and language barrier made the stay feel somewhat constrained.

I booked a sea-view twin room for over 800 RMB per night. Upon checking in, I noticed a wad of tissue under the bed. The staff cleaned it, so I didn't ask for a room change, but then something ridiculous happened. Throughout the night, there was a constant rustling sound, like water flowing through pipes and someone crinkling plastic bags. Twice, the noise was loud and sustained: first at 11:30 PM, then again at 3:25 AM. It sounded like something was rummaging loudly. When I looked towards the sound and turned on the light, a large rat jumped out of the trash can. All my sleepiness vanished instantly. However, since my child was sound asleep, I decided not to scare them and contacted the front desk via WeChat, hoping it would be dealt with the next day. But the next day, no one from the front desk called to follow up, and the WeChat communication was just superficial. Furthermore, the room was extremely damp, and the bedding felt wet, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. To top it all off, when I was preparing to check out the next day, I found a used tissue tucked behind a picture frame on the wall. Absolutely disgusting.

The environment is beautiful, with a private beach and an infinity pool. The romantic coastline is usually enjoyed by hotel guests, so it's not crowded, and the scenery is stunning. It's perfect for a vacation. As for hygiene, everything was fine except the bed was a bit damp, probably due to being close to the sea.

As a 20-year Ctrip member, this is the first time I've been so furious complaining about a hotel, and a Wyndham five-star hotel at that! Here’s what happened: On May 2nd, we were only told we could check in close to 2 PM. The two front desk staff members seemed to be prejudiced in their service. If you had connections, they were proactive and enthusiastic; otherwise, they simply ignored you. We had arranged for complimentary breakfast for two children, and after consulting their supervisor, they confirmed it would be provided! However, the next morning when we went for breakfast, the server said they had received no such notification. We figured it wasn't much money, so we just paid and went in. Inside, we found the breakfast quality and environment were terrible – everything was dirty and looked unappetizing. We didn’t eat anything and just left. Additionally, the sheets and duvet covers in both rooms were damp and very dirty. The pillowcases and sheets even had bloodstains and other stains. We asked them to change them, and they said they would immediately. But when we returned to our rooms at 11 PM after the bonfire party, they still hadn't been changed. We thought, 'It's just one night, we'll make do!' However, the two elderly people in room 4222 suffered through a long night sleeping on damp covers and enduring the sour, stinky smell from the toilet. The room was generally dirty, smelly, damp, the AC was very noisy, and there were many mosquitoes – basically, everything was bad. As a reputable hotel chain with 9,000 hotels globally, serving nearly 100 countries, such service standards are unacceptable and severely damage Wyndham's reputation and image! This hotel usually costs around 500 RMB on weekends, but during holidays, the price triples to 1500 RMB per room. We expected that paying three times the price would get us excellent service, but not only did the service not improve, it actually plummeted. They treated us, the guests, like easy targets to rip off. With such service attitude and standards, I wonder how long this hotel can last. We'll wait and see!

This international brand, established over a decade ago, is showing its age with outdated facilities that no longer match its brand image. Fortunately, the front desk staff was very sharp and proactively upgraded our reserved room. The reason given was that it was rainy during our stay and our original room would have been quite damp. I'm glad for the upgrade; seeing the upgraded room's condition, I can only imagine how uncomfortable our original booking would have been. The staff at the front desk, breakfast area, and those operating the small train were all very enthusiastic. The hotel's surroundings are quite desolate; to find local cuisine, you'd have to drive at least 20 kilometers to the city. The hotel's evening beach entertainment program was also quite limited. If you're not driving and relying solely on the hotel's shuttle service to and from the high-speed rail station, you'd really need to think twice, unless you plan on vacationing at the hotel for a week and have ample time to work around their shuttle schedule.
