Tarihi Selcuklu Konagi

Selcuklu Konagi is in the old section of the city; cars do not have any access. The staff comes and picks up your luggage from where ever you parked your car at. It has the most beautiful view of the Mesopotamia Valley. It has a big terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast or tea/ coffee with the valley below. Extremely courteous and friendly staff. We stayed at the lower level which was less expensive since we did not have the valley view but I figured we were not going to stay in the room during the day anyways. Their breakfast is to die for! They serve everything you can think of for a breakfast . The city is magical, the hotel is superb! They close at the end of November and open up in March . If I am not mistaken they have only 10 rooms . So make sure to call them ahead of time to guarantee your reservation.

The hotel is located on the top of a hill at about 5 km from the old city of Mardin. The view from the hotel terrace is very beautiful, especially during sunset time. Approx 20 tl for a taxi to the old center. The rooms are in line with the standards of Hilton Garden Inn. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. You can have breakfast outside at the exterior terrace. There is an indoor swimming pool and a big fitness centre with a splendid view overlooking the region. A bit detached from the old city centre, but at the same time easy to drive and park.

I stayed for my business trip. There was a very satisfactory quality of interest and service. It was very good breakfast and a variety of choices. The rooms were large and pleasant. Thank you all the team, especially the front office staff İldem Madam. I will be the only choice to stay on my next Mardin trip.

We were in bad weather conditions in Mardin, but the hotel staff and manager Tarık Mr welcomed us greatly, and we were on the road in the unseen cloud and over-sight rain, and they welcomed us and immediately offered hot tea. They really acted very intimately and sincerely in order to relax and be happy.. All staff were very interested and ridiculous.. There was no wonderful breakfast and health 🙏🏼.. We plan to go back in spring we will never stay in another hotel .. We were very happy and comfortable... We couldn't say goodbye to the Lord of the Historics when we left but I'm telling everybody here forever love and greeting again.. This world is so beautiful and good people turning to the glory of the face water, good you are 🙏🏼 Thank you sooookkk for your help on my aunt and on my behalf 🙏🏼

The room and the accommodation were very nice and with a certain local theme, generating a very rewarding immersion in the tourist climate of the city. The breakfast it was also very good. It is important to point out that the old part of the city is practically a labyrinth, so it was also very difficult to find the location of the accommodation. For those coming by car, an essential tip is to be restricted to driving only on the two main streets that pass through the old part of Mardin, the ”Yeni Yol Cd.” and the ”1. Cadde”, because Google Maps will insist on making you enter very tiny cross streets that will be impossible to advance.

I chose the suite at this hotel and had my own balcony and dining/lounge area with a view. It was very private because the use of the balcony was exclusive to ones staying at the upstairs suite. This building is almost 700 years old and located within the old city of Mardin, inhabited as early as 3000BCE. The staff was exceptionally hospitable and made everything comfortable, also spoke English well. One can order food and wine (that this area is know for) so it was nice to be able to dine in our private table and balcony. Breakfast was good, everything worked: wifi, tv, bathroom, airconditioning. Located within the old city, it was walking distance to the important places to explore. Be sure to let them know your arrival time in order to work out the logistics since parking needs to be planned and it would be easy to get lost in these winding streets. One needs to be in pretty good shape to walk around this city. I would recommend this hotel.
