Vintages Accommodation

We have stayed at Vintages several times over the years and this is the first time we felt it’s a bit tired. Location still great obviously and facilities good but could do with a bit of updating. We were in the large two bedrooms accommodation and both bedrooms felt dark. The twin look out to a wall about two foot away and the “garden” area outside the double was extremely unkept.

The location of this accommodation for Margaret River is excellent just a short walk and you are on the main shopping street with a good choice of places to eat, our booking was kind of last minute and Sean was very helpful in accommodating our needs especially given that we stopped over Christmas to visit family. We had room 12b which was spotlessly clean and a really comfortable bed with a good shower, this room would be good for a couple of nights however we stayed for 10 nights all we had was a kettle and a fridge so no way of warming anything we went to the local Woolworths to buy some cereal bowls so at least we could have breakfast in the room, the biggest issue is that the room has no real outside windows one side is opaque and backs onto the utility area with the associated noise from pots being washed and washing machines running, the other side of the room looked into a storage room, if you like a dark room to sleep in this is not for you as there is a light tunnel in the ceiling so as soon as the sun was up it was light in the room, there is also very limited space for storage with one drawer each side of the bed and a short hanging rail, we rocked up from the UK with 4 weeks of luggage so had to live out of the case. As I said earlier this room is ideal if visiting the area for just a couple of nights and we are more than grateful for Sean fitting us in at such a late hour. Amber did show us one of the larger rooms which was lovely however as the property was fully booked we couldn’t move rooms. All in all clean and comfortable but be room specific when booking.

Room suited purpose of trip. It was clean, easy to locate and access, and central to everything. Arrived late and instructions on how to find key and enter room were clear. Parking was very convenient

We have been going to Vintages annually for the last 8 years, this last stay was very disappointing, the Luxury Spa room, was dull, the bathroom including spa was not clean, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. The hand soap in the kitchen and bathroom area had been topped up with water. The room was partially serviced on our second day and kitchen was left unclean and bathroom toilet amenities not renewed, ie no toilet paper. Sadly, this will be the last stay for us.

Location was really good but wouldn’t recommend it for cleanliness—＞ after the first night we asked for the room to be serviced as we had young children with us. The floor rug was rehung with clear stains, trash was not cleared and we came back to a sandy room!
