Hôtel de la paix

Do not stay. Upon arrival we found hairs in the bed. Warm water was available for 1 out of the 3 days. Bathroom was dirty with hair everywhere. Lots of banging and shouting eveur night.

The room was in tolerable condition compared to some of the other Riads and Hotels in the area. However, the room could use a deep cleaning and it had a strong mildew odor by the queen sized bed which made it unpleasant to breathe. My biggest concern was that I requested a room with heat when I booked but was placed in one without heat. After informing the male attendant I was told to stay in the room for a night and I’d be switched to another the next day. The next day I was told the same thing to again which was that they were fully booked. I asked for an extra blanket and the staff forgot to give it to me. The next day the male attendant apologized and insured me that I’d receive the blanket which was placed in my room later that day. I felt appalled because I stayed five nights and had to endure the cold which is hectic when you deal with arthritis. Especially since the place was a revolving door and the rooms were vacated daily.

Good value for money. Suited us to use as a place to sleep on a lad’s weekend, great location just off the main square but in a quiet street.

Friendly staff and in the middle of the busy medina :-)
