From start to end, it was an amazing stay! The host (jaouad) welcomed us and provided us with very detailed advice on the city, things to do, things to look out for and simple Arabic to negotiate cheaper prices in the souks. He was incredibly helpful and so kind. During our stay the girls (Samira, Maliki and Ikram) ensured we always had a lovely breakfast, felt taken care of and overall incredibly sweet and warming. Both Toby and I cannot thank you four enough for sharing your country, traditions and values with us. We had an incredible experience and a wonderful birthday trip in Marrakesh because of you four and we look to be back later this year. The room itself was always clean, spacious and filled with culture. The riad itself was clean, quiet and in a perfect location. It was super easy to walk to the main square, the souk and also the new town. Taxis stop right outside the main road and it felt like you were always emerged in with the locals. It felt lovely to see all the boys playing football when we wondered back at night. Also yummy fresh breakfast every morning! The aircon was a lifesaver after the warm day, the bathroom was always clean and the Riad had such a tranquil feel. You forget that you’re in the chaotic hustle and bustle of Marrakesh once you step foot inside. If you don’t see us first, you will definitely see our family as we have not stopped singing your praises for them to visit you. Shukram Jaouad, Samira, Maliki and Ikram. Inshallah to you all.

Beautiful Riad. Lovely attentive staff good location for all the attractions. Highly recommend this place to stay. WiFi is good. Rooftop is lovely in the evening to relax. Central Court is lovely any time of the day. So peaceful from the hustle and bustle just outside. Samira, Malika and Icram really looked after us on our stay.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for your beautiful review.

Riad Zayane was a lovely place to stay, rooms well kept and the staff so welcoming and friendly. We only ate dinner there once and it was excellent, particularly the beef tagine. Breakfasts were nice but perhaps a bit too much on the sweet side; more savoury would have been good. The rooms were good - four of use stayed in two separate rooms with twin beds. Beds were comfortable and the shower was great. The rooftop seating area was a nice touch, somewhere else to sit around and chat in the afternoon or evening. It is about a 25min walk to the main square, but market stalls selling gifts, souvenirs etc are closer. We all really liked being in more of a residential area with tailors, grocers, meat sellers etc all round the corner from the riad. If you want to walk straight out and into more of the touristic allies or souks, then you should look for something further into the centre. I would recommend getting the booked taxi service, certainly for getting there from the airport as you might struggle to find it otherwise. Their recommended massage - Alphais Spa - was excellent. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Riad Zayane.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for your kind review.

The Riad was absolutely perfect for our stay. Clean, comfortable and classy. The roof terrace was especially lovely for chilling in the evening with a cool drink. The staff there, led by Jaouad (sorry terrible with names hopefully correct), could not do enough for you. We will be returning with our offspring next year!
Response from Property: Thank you for your wonderful review, we look forward to have you next year !

My wife and I had the most amazing time with Riad Zayane. Everything was perfect! We were picked up and driven to riad, shown were to go as you do go through a market street. We had a meal at the riad and was so delicious. Nice range of wine. Beer was amazing. None was too much trouble. The staff were incredible. Nothing was too much. We had the oasis room, which from what we could see was the best room on offer. Room decor was beautiful! The riad was so pretty. Small courtyard which was always nice and cool. Rooftop terrance was nice too. Had plenty of beers on there!! Wish we had longer there. If you are looking at going. Do not hesitate to book this!!!!!! Thank you xx
Response from Property: Thank you Nathan for your magical review, we hope to have you again someday !

We did have the oasis room which is very large and comfortable. The courtyard where breakfast and dinner are served is very attractive and tranquil. An electric roof closes in case of rain. The staff of the Riad - every single one of them - were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. There is a lovely terrace with comfortable sofas, loungers and umbrellas - enjoyed some pre diner drinks as well as after dinner ones. We booked all of our tours through the Riad - competitive prices and well organised.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for your review, we hope to have you again.

Firstly, thank you to the team at the Riad for making our stay memorable. The hospitality and friendliness of all made our stay here amazing. Upon arrival, we were slightly taken aback by the crazy chaotic small ally way outside the riad. Think animal legs hanging up, flies everywhere crazy smelly busy street selling fruit, veg, and meat. But once inside, the calm, clean, small riad is tranquil and accommodating. Breakfast was mainly fruit, yougart and cake we would have preferred some meat and cheese but Moroccans do have a sweet tooth so we embraced the traditional side. The locals, once outside, were warm and friendly and helpful. Do take some small change as it's expected to tip for directions, etc. The riad is about a half an hour walk to the main square (if you don't get lost), but there are lots of things to take in on the walk and taxis readily available. A great, authentic experience in a beautiful riad. Go with an open mind and enjoy.
Response from Property: Thank you Tina for your nice review.

The service and warmth here shines through, making for a really relaxed stay in a hectic city. The Medina in particular is frenetic. Once inside Zayane, you can leave busy hot and hectic behind and enjoy peace and quiet. The only noise to interject was the lovely call to prayer, which we both happened to be awake to hear on Friday at 6:30am. To be clear it wasn’t loud, we happened to wake and loved listening. I headed to the roof terrace on other occasions to listen to other calls more clearly. Our room was quite opulently decorated, shower room smart but basic, and lovely seating areas. Breakfast was OK on day one, not too good on day two as seemed to be prepared by a different person. After long days walking, we returned to order freshly pressed fruit juice which was delicious, welcome, enjoyed reflecting on the day sitting on the rooftop terrace which had blankets to wrap yourself in on a chillier night. Couple of rough edges on upkeep, and average breakfast cost the mark here for us. I still say you should stay here, it is well located near the Medina wall towards the YSL Museum and easy walk to Katoubia. Recommended, only 5 rooms so you may miss out.

Do not be put off by the location! We were slightly anxious when we got dropped off late at night at the end of the road by our airport taxi (€12). But we walked confidently through the closed market area and found the Riad easily. Inside we were delighted by the beautiful interior, and by our welcome by Jouad. We were allocated the cheapest room on the ground floor, but this was still beautifully decorated with a comfortable king-size bed so we were more than happy. We managed to peek in the other rooms when they had noone staying in them and they were beautiful! True to the pictures! Mo and the ladies were all very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble! One lady even came out to the market with me to help me get spices! Breakfast included either omelette/fried egg, or cakes; fruit salad and yoghurt, or a local orange flower jelly; and pastries. Coming in from the busy Medina, we found the Riad tranquil, and we were able to sunbathe on the roof terrace. Would definitely return!

We arrived around 9.30pm and were met from our airport transfer by Jouad who walked us the few hundred metres to the riad. The hustle bustle of the market disappeared as we went into the riad. We were greeted with complimentary mint tea and biscuits as Jouad gave us a thorough introduction to Marrakesh, including a map, as this was our first visit. This proved invaluable during our three night stay. The riad is beautiful and really well kept, with a plunge pool (not in use in February), a communal living room and roof terrace with sun-beds. The breakfasts were great and different every day. A good way to set you up for a day of exploring. Everyone working here was fantastic and really made the stay an excellent one. We will stay here again next time we are in Marrakesh.

Not far from the Medina wall and around the corner from local lively market streets. But quiet, once you enter the gate. Very helpful and friendly staff. 20 minutes walk to the Big square, nice restaurants close by the Riad and the dinner at the Riad is also very tasty.

We stayed in Riad Zayane for 7 nights during our stay in Marrakesh. Clean, stylish rooms decorated in Moroccan style. Friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfasts. Walkable distance to Old Medina souks, main square and also to the New Town. Great atmosphere, we would definitely recommend this hidden place!

We have stayed at Riad Zayane three times now and would not consider staying anywhere else. It is perfect for us. It's just a two minute walk from the taxi/transfer drop off at the road. We like that it's away from the main square (only about a 20 minute walk) and more amongst the locals. The riad is beautiful, the breakfasts are great but it's the staff that make it special. They really do look after you. I'm sure we'll be back for our fourth visit before too long.
