It was really nice to be in the authentic riad inside the city wall. I love visiting the local placed with local food. They welcomes me with a nice cup of mint tea. breakfast was good. I love the birds chirping every morning.

This Riad has seen better days but the welcome is warm and efficient. The room, large and air-conditioned, was clean and cleaned every day. All sites are less than 15 minutes away on foot. I highly recommend for backpackers and relaxed travelers. Chochotes, go your way. Unbeatable price/performance ratio.

Abdul and Karim were great during our entire trip. They came to pick us up from the airport at 2am for only €15 and were available whenever needed. The ryad has a nice rooftop to relax in the evening, a beautiful indoor swimming pool and an excellent breakfast. The excursions offered are quality (we went to Ouzoud). The Ryad is quite well located, 5 minutes from the Saadian tombs and 15 minutes from Jemaa-el-fna. I highly recommend the ryad for couples or families! A big thank you to Abdul and Karim for this wonderful stay!

Couldn’t be happier with our experience at Riad Mandalay! Iheb, Abdul and the women who upkeep the riad made us feel extremely welcome in a new country we have never been to before. They advised us what to do whenever we asked for help and went completely out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied at all times. Honestly a beautiful and simple riad that is perfect for anyone who would rather appreciate culture and experience over a typical hotel. No menu for dinner and breakfast made an exciting surprise and food was always delicious. Any time we asked for tea we were given it. Employees made us feel very safe and looked after, as two young females travelling alone. And involved themselves in socialising with us and other guests during breakfast and on the terrace in the evening. A little tricky to find at first as is located down a side street but there are many taxis in close proximity which we used- and got them too and from Kasbah Mosque (the road is a three minute walk from there). Would definitely return here if visiting the area again. Iheb also walked us to location we couldn’t find and Abdul went to the pharmacy for me when I hurt my leg. Just amazing people that we were so greatful to be surrounded by. I hope everyone who visits has a just as amazing time as we did. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and advise and be open minded- you’re in Marrakesh not Monaco!!!

Ielb is the best manager I have ever met in my entire life. I have come here 3 times this year and will return again. The service from the cook to the cleaner to him is just brilliant I was here alone he made sure I was safe at night taking me to food places translating for me. He just couldn’t do enough same with cleaners and cooks. The hotel is my style it’s vintage has everything you need if it doesn’t best believe they will get it you. I fully recommend this place and these beautiful people to everyone Thankyou Love Keeley

Absolutely fantastic stay here in Rhiad Mandalay. We were met by Abdul who is lovely, and did everything he could to make our stay perfect. It was actually my birthday the day we arrived, when he found out he organised a surprise birthday cake! The Rhiad is a authentic traditional style Rhiad which we thought was beautiful, there is a small pool and roof top terrace, the rooms had plenty of storage and were spotlessly clean. Breakfast served in the morning is traditional moroccan style breakfast of breads and pancakes with honey and jams. A massive thank you to Abdul and all the staff who looked after us all so well! We will definitely be back! 'I like to move it, move it!'

Just done 3 night stay here. The four stars are mainly for the staff who are outstanding and very friendly. The breakfast is lovely but don’t expect a cook one. The resident bees can be annoying while eating. The accommodation itself is extremely basic and tired showing no resemblance at all to the advertised photos. Extremely good photography filters! The rooms have a bed and that’s about it. No shower gel, soap or anything. Shocking but amusing. The bed however was comfy and slept well. The pool is a deep bath and freezing water. Never used. It’s a shame really as location is great but I suppose that a Traditional Riad for you!

This was a truly exceptional place. Upon arrival we were treated really well. Karim took us through the range of trios available. The staff were lovely and the service and cleanliness was impeccable. Loved Abdul and Karim, they were great. It's 5 minutes walk from the Quasbah. Great location. Real value. Will return ASAP. ✌️

We only stayed one night, and thankfully. Tucked away in narrow streets, it smelled very bad throughout the area. The room was up to the best located, just for photos Because it wasn't very clean. I found 3 cockroaches in the bathroom. Just to point out, that we ordered our breakfast as early as possible and the manager was preparing us the same night, several things to eat. But this was the only good point. Not to be repeated. The photos do not reflect reality.

I’m not quite sure how this Riad scores so highly. We have just returned from 4 nights In Marrakesh, booked via Tui in the UK. We arrived at the Mandalay and were told there was a problem and then quickly taken a few streets away to another Riad. We questioned what was going on but not really provided with an answer. This new Riad wasn’t at the same standard as the Mandalay by what we were led to believe by the Tui website. We called Tui who wanted to speak to the manager of the Mandalay to find out what was happening, we returned to the Mandalay but the manager refused to speak to Tui. Instead we were told a room was available. We were given a “family” room on the ground floor. The room was grubby to say the least. Dirty hand prints on the walls, gritty floor and mucky bathroom. The bathroom had a shower curtain instead of a door and no curtain around the shower. This wasn’t a wet room, just an unfinished bathroom. We were incredibly disappointed. After two nights we were able to change rooms. This new one was much nicer, still not worthy of the high TA review. Due to complaining to Tui the staff were rude for the duration of our stay. I would absolutely not recommend this Riad.

I don’t even know where to start but we arrived at the hotel and were very disappointed by the look of the rooms, particularly my parents bedroom. The lighting in the rooms is quite dark and dingy. Next the service, one of the staff members was quite rude to us. On the first day I asked if there was a breakfast menu and got told “this is a Riad not a hotel”. As someone using a service I found that very rude and off putting cos I just wanted to know what the options were. Breakfast was also very late. It was supposed to be between 8-10am but on some days I found myself waiting for 30 minutes before I was served. When they did serve the food, he served everyone else but me and I had to call him and ask to be served. The hotel price is very cheap which is why the standard and treatment is soo poor. If you want a nice holiday - avoid Riad Mandalay! I don’t understand how they have 4 stars to be honest 😫
