Mirador Maspalomas by Dunas

Food was average and luke warm. I'm vegan and could always find something to eat except for desserts. There was plenty of choice, cooked food, salad, vegetables, bread, cakes, ice cream etc. There are mutliple choices of milk at breakfast. The restaurant was always very busy and very loud. There is just one small bar so its busy and drinks are served in plastic cups until after 7pm. Cocktails are premixed sugar syrup. Beer and wine were self serve and you can always get water. The pool was nice and there are plenty of sunbeds but this doesn't stop the brits getting up early to queue to claim their sunbed with their towel. There was always music or entertainment so again always loud and as all the rooms face on to the pool, you can always hear all of this. Cleaning staff were great, always busy and our room was serviced every day and kept spotless. Its a 45 minute walk to Maspalomas and there is not much between the beach and the hotel. The hotel runs a free bus but we never used it. Evening entertainment was hit and miss, some days amazing (the strong men/gymnasts) and some days pretty random but thats just personal preference. Overall the hotel was ok, just too noisy for us and there is nowhere where you can escape it to get a bit of peace and quiet.

A lovely welcome when we arrived, lovely clean room and amazing view! Went out of their way to put balloons and chocs in the room for my hubby's 60th birthday. Plenty of choice re food and drink and lovely pool. Beach, water park and market all within 7 euros away. Will definitely come again and highly recommend!

I have stayed here 5 times now and I cannot fault this fantastic hotel Fresh towels and bedding everyday and just a all round fantastic experience I have met some fantastic people here to which we all arranged to meet up here again and intend to do again next year Staff are so welcoming and I must say in the restaurant my favorite is Olga who always has a smile on her face and is always so cheerful

Absolutely spot on for what we paid, plenty of choice for food, self service drinks, Prosecco and cocktails included, room was A315 front of the hotel great sunrise and cool during the day. Would consider revisiting in the future. Not close to the main resort of Maspalomas

The hotel was lovely and clean. We found food and drink to be our liking for a 3 star hotel. Never came across an unhelpful member of staff. As people have said it is pretty far out from the main centre. If you are getting the bus up or down to Maspalomas, you need to be pig ignorant when getting on bus as people just charge on. The hotel is very disabled friendly around pool and up to rooms. Unfortunately room I was in (404) had no aids for getting in and out of Bath to have shower which was dangerous for me. To the cleaner of my room between 6th and 13th of February, you done a fantastic job. Entertainment team always tried their best. The magic carpet in the pool was brilliantly funny.. Would definitely recommend hotel for families

We deliberately went in December to this hotel as we have thought about it a number of times but were put off by some of the reviews. We booked Tui with some discounts as Jet2 was £500 more for almost exactly the same 10-11 day holiday all inclusive. We are here now and to be quite honest I cannot fault this hotel on many fronts. You can always get a table no matter when you go to the restaurant. The food is fine. All the usuals with show cooking. Wine and beer on tap in the evening and lunchtime. I emailed the hotel 3 weeks before we traveled. Asked for a high floor. Got acknowledged and got the top floor too. No wildebeest above us on this holiday. The room is fine. Slight problem with the sink was sorted immediately. Entertainment was interesting. 3 Tops were great. But the music film quiz consisted mainly of bellowing animation staff. We had an early night. Went to catch the free bus to the lighthouse (Faro). Once it got to 15 mins late we gave up and got a taxi from the rank immediately outside. 7 euros including tip. To access the bus you leave the hotel turn left and wait on the main road next to the roundabout. This bus obviously picks up at a number of hotels and with us being the last pickup I suspect once the driver has a full load he heads for the Faro. I may be wrong on this but the 1030 just didn’t arrive. We didn’t need to put towels on the sun beds because after breakfast although there are towels out we never had a problem on the ‘sunny’ side of the street. I suspect this may be a relevant issue when schools are out as beds are crammed tightly together and your neighbours might not be your immediate choice. All in all a nice friendly hotel that I would highly recommend out of school holidays.

Just want to thank Jose and the rest of the Animation Team for an absolutely amazing Halloween Day from the face painting to the House of Honour experience and all in between and for asking us to judge the Pumpkin Carving competition which we really enjoyed doing this and felt humbled to be asked

We came back last night following a week in the Mirador by Dunas. We weren't disappointed! For the cost of the holiday, we cannot fault the hotel or jet 2. The room was lovely with a nice big balcony. We stayed in a pool view and were happy with the air con. Food was great, plentiful and we never went hungry, the people who worked here were also lovely. We would like to make a special mention to the animation team who didn't stop and made our twins holiday so memorable! Thank you guys, we hope to be back next year!!!

This is precisely the reason why I've been staying at Mirador for so many years: from Laura the Director to Juana my dearest room cleaner, passing by Angela the Head of Reception and Gustavo from the restaurant and so many others: Alejandro, Marco, Fabiola, Fidelia, Daniel, Pepi, Maribel, Tatiana...all do their best to make me feel welcome and provide me and exceptional and unique treatment. And therefore I feel here as at home!
