Let me start by sharing all of the positives. Amazing views from Room#5 (king bed). Our son&wife and four month old had Room#2 (standard) and it was very nice and comfortable for their routine with an infant. (We could see their apartment from our side window) Both of our rooms were right off of the small parking lot so easy load in and out. It is a boutique resort. Not crowded and we often had the pool alone. Views are EXACTLY what you hope to see when visiting the Philippines The grounds are full of mature plants and mature mango trees with the sound of them dropping to the ground in the quiet of the days overlooking Taal Lake. Okay. Now the reality stuff. Food and drink service is all at the restaurant which means you must go there. It was across the grounds from our rooms. Pathways are not manageable for anyone who cannot balance (not senior or wheelchair friendly). However, when we figured out where staff was, we ordered and then the staff was great, easy going, flexible and “whatever we’d like” service. There is no evening bar and there is not always someone at the small reception desk (which we couldn’t find upon arrival). If you have questions while staying or want pool towels, find staff. In our three day stay, we left for an afternoon, organized our room separating dishes etc for room service and left putting the sign on the door to ‘please makeup room’ and returned at suppertime to no room cleanup and there never was. Kids had to move their dishes themselves to the event room tables because flys were attracted to their patio where their dishes were. We could have called someone but after a long day, we simply moved dishes. They do have QR codes at reception desk for menus which are varied for breakfast, lunch, and supper. business card in rooms with a number to call if you have questions. We didn’t use the number. For food in-room service we had to walk across the grounds to the restaurant and pay for our order and they delivered to our room no problem but kind of defeats the wanting of room service to have to leave to get it. Staff was very friendly and helpful once available. It appears they are all restaurant-side. The gal, Monica, who checked us in was very friendly and showed us our rooms and was very agreeable. I wish these details could be sorted. Quite an easy fix actually. We would have rebooked if it was just a tad easier to not be concerned about the small things we do at home already. Figure out food, clean up room, and it would have been amazing to have evening drinks at a bar above the pool in the empty event room overlooking it🌴 Kind regards
