"The hotel itself is old, but the location and hot springs were good. The room was spacious, but there were spider webs on the window glass and the putty on the air conditioner pipes was blackened, probably from mold or dirt, so it was a no-no. Dinner was good, but the chawanmushi was set out at the beginning and was lukewarm. It's common practice to serve rice, soup, and chawanmushi later. At breakfast, the rice and miso soup were lukewarm and the contents were disappointing. I recommend staying overnight."

Even if I don’t speak Japanese and he doesnt speak English, he tried to speak with me with his phone translator and made sure everything was ok for me. I would definitely recommend the place. If you are a foreigner please be sure to respect the manners. No shoes inside, no slippers in the baths, shower before bath, etc."

I appreciate a lot on: - warm and friendly staff who could not speak much English but were very nice to explain to me the details of the hotel - gorgeous garden where you could take a seat and enjoy the view - free Japanese alcohol at 1500-1800 (soft drinks until 2100) - impressive free Japanese cultural performance at 2110 - quick and positive response despite I made several urgent requests due to sudden plan change - free shuttle bus service between JR station and hotel if you approached front desk for information - the environment of the public bath was quite clean - totally different food combination in dinner for 2 nights Considering the price I paid for such service, I would say the quality is definitely beyond my expectation. :) Thank you every hotel staff who made my experience a better stay!!"

"``Nozu Ryokan'' is a hot spring inn near Matsue Station.It's wonderful that it uses the hot spring water from Matsue Shinji Lake near the station.The room was upgraded from the 6 tatami mat I had booked to an 8 tatami Japanese style room. It has been completely renovated and is modern, including the plumbing. However, there is no view from the window. Head to the hot springs right away. In addition to the large public bath, there is a small open-air bath with a nice view of the Ohashi River and the cityscape! Good hot springs near the station. This time it comes with 2 meals. Dinner will be served at the restaurant ``Himekawa'' on the first floor. ``When in doubt, this is it!!Standard Kaiseki plan with plenty of seasonal ingredients from San'in''. First of all, a variety of San'in flavors are served in a bowl made from Izumo soba noodles. You can enjoy a variety of flavors little by little, making it a good accompaniment to alcohol. It's good to have it with a sake tasting comparison. Sashimi, hot pot, and chawanmushi with crab miso. The meal also came with tempura, and I was a little worried because the picture on the website looked like the portion would be small, but it was a satisfying dinner. Breakfast is a small bowl of chikuwa, eggs, seaweed, black beans, pickled vegetables, and fruit. a bit lonely. It also comes with miso soup with clams, and the fish is sea bream. It was delicious, but unfortunately the quantity was small."
