Recommended place to stay a night when you go to Kamikochi. They have a Suki Yaki for a dinner that super delicious and Onsen to relax your body after walking from Kamikochi. Love it.

I took the place because it is conveniently located at the room. For staying one night it suits the purpose.

The location is very great with all the nature around. The htoel. Has a little shop as well, but ofcourse the best thing about the hotel is the onsen. The onsen is open 24/7,so you can make use of it whenever you want. The resutaurant closes relatively early, and you must reserve it, but otherwise you can buy some very affordable microwave food in the shoop, and they will warm it up for you, so that was a great service. Great place!

It is very convenient to travel to Kamikochi. There is a bus to Kamikochi just a few steps away from the hotel! Very traditional Japanese old hotel! The hot spring is very natural! The sound insulation of the floor is very poor. You can hear even soft sounds when walking in the corridor! Because it is a traditional Japanese hotel, you have to share the toilet, which is not very convenient, especially for girls! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious! This is commendable!

A great place to stay to get an early start for Kamikochi. Near the Sawando bus terminal. Budget comfy guesthouse with a nice onsen open 24/7 which is highly unusual. The people who run this place are very pleasant and friendly. You can buy dinner sukiyaki very reasonable price and breakfast if you want. There’s not much else in Sawando though there’s a ramen place Higuchi where you can get breakfast and lunch. There’s no other shops. A couple of onsen. It’s a quiet relaxing place to stay.
