Answered all of my requests for a high floor and room away from the lifts. Note that twin rooms are in fact both next to and adjacent to the lifts, however the ones next to, which is what we had, placed beds opposite end of the room to the lifts. So no noise and only a single room behind us, so a very peaceful sleep. Staff spoke English good enough to communicate and the kind Lady that helped us and answered my queries around the onsen music was attentive and made effort with a translator unit when necessary. The staff were very kind overall especially to my young son, which I really appreciated. We took a keicar and while they had no parking free, the donki literally 210m away is actually cheaper, covered and has plenty of spaces and is easier to park in. Location is a 10min walk to the cable car lift to the castle, and the front entrance is to the covered shopping street. Zero complaints except for the usual bright LEDs on everything and motion activated hall light when visiting toilet at night. Also, pillows were the best so far in Japan. Very happy with this hotel and would absolutely stay again.

The hot spring water was fantastic, and the late-night soba noodles were delicious. My favorite part was the unlimited Matsuyama sea bream and Ehime oranges at breakfast. The hotel is located right on Ookaido, with Mitsukoshi department store and large drugstores nearby. Old sea bream rice restaurants like Akika and Marusui are within walking distance, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Matsuyama Castle and several other attractions are also within walking distance, and getting to Dogo Onsen by Iyo Railway is very easy. It's a shame I only stayed one night due to my itinerary; I'd love to spend a couple more days in Matsuyama if I get the chance.

I booked a two-bed room, which was quite spacious, but it didn't include breakfast and still cost 1418 RMB, even on a weekday. I really felt it was too expensive. Similar rooms at the Crowne Plaza and Daiwa Roynet Hotel nearby were only around 800 RMB and 600 RMB, respectively, for the same day. Aside from the high price, the hotel's hot spring and complimentary udon noodles were indeed excellent. During the hot spring's operating hours, there were free ice cream and Yakult available for self-service. This hotel is located on Ookaido street, a 10-minute walk from Matsuyama Castle, 2 minutes from Mitsukoshi department store, and 3 minutes from the tram station to Matsuyama JR Station. Once you get your bearings, it feels very convenient. I just wish the price wasn't so high; I think maybe I overpaid this time!

A standard Dormy style onsen hotel. For this one, the onsen quality is good. Room is small as usual. We stay two nights and they do not clean daily. The one we stay now at kochi clean after our first night. Not sure why there is difference in service

It would be better if the tooth brush is softer and shower cap can be provided. Only two massage chairs are not sufficient for the whole hotel. Snacks after bath are fantastic.

The room was ridiculously small. With two people in it, one of us had to be on the bed at all times, otherwise, there was no room to move! Plus, taxis can't get directly to the hotel, which was very inconvenient! It was also quite hard to find.
