It seems that there are no Chinese reviews yet, so I will give a truthful review. I stayed in three hotels in Mauritius this time, Oberoi, Four Seasons, and JW Marriott. The prices were similar, but Oberoi was the most disappointing and the worst. The parent-child facilities were non-existent, the children's playground was dirty and messy, and the hotel closed at 4pm. There were no parent-child activities, and the rooms did not even provide children's bathrobes. Later, I moved to Four Seasons and JW Marriott, where the parent-child activities in the children's playground were from morning to night, which was really touching. If you take your children to Mauritius, you must avoid Oberoi.

I almost didn’t notice we’d reached our room. I was so busy talking to the team and taking in the views as we walked that the check-in just… happened, all of it done quietly inside our room. No desk, no queue, or waiting around. There are many serene dining options. The restaurant with live grills (operates only thrice) is a must. The food is delicate, flavourful and has authenticity in both local and international cuisine. Chef Singh and Chef Swaraj and made us experience local Mauritian and authentic French delicacies. They do a Mauritian Chilli paste (if you love delicate spice, it’s a must try) we tried it once, and fell i love and they made sure we got it with each of our meals. They even have their own herb garden( the herb trail) , and have a roasting pit, and conduct dining experiences alongside. Dining venues here do not have doors or walls. You sit surrounded by nature, with the sound of the ocean and the cleanest breeze. A beautiful rare bird will fly past often during the morning breakfast or casually sit next to your table for a few seconds. At most hotels we end up ordering room service. Here we’d actually wait so we could eat outside. You can’t put a price on that experience. There are corners of this property that feel like a scene from an adventure film, including a tall waterfall tucked behind the trees with rocks scattered in the middle. Surreal is the only word. You’ll hear the waterfall casually walking in the hotel, from your room to the gym spa (which is so well equipped, dis not miss my workout for even a day ) The sunsets are stunning, and you can sip the hotel’s own infused rum cocktails while you watch, which was a first for us. And then the moonlight on the sea at night, perfect for photos or just to sit and stare. The hotel sits on a reef, so we went snorkelling right off the beach. We’re not strong swimmers, so we stuck to the marked shallow area, and even there the coral was maybe 15 metres away with fish everywhere. I ended up spending hours in the water over the week. It’s amazing how effortlessly the place lets you get close to all of it. It’s unforgettable. We stayed 8 nights, and honestly, do the same if you can. There wasn’t one dull moment. Wine and rum tastings, stargazing, painting and local art, cooking classes with a master chef, water sports straight off the beach. The biggest highlight was spotting whales out in the deep sea, leaving from and coming back to the hotel beach. So seamless. And even the water sports team gave us a feeling of complete safety. Our experience honestly is credited to the people of this hotel, who everyday exceed our expectations and consistently raised the bar. Absolute credit to the General Manager Aditya Pandey, and the delightful Natacha, who gave us some of the best travel suggestions. The service is unparalleled, Shaan, treated us to local mauritian delights which we were earlier weary of and made us try different specialities throughout our Trip. Aditya, Naveen, D

The property is spread over an extensive beachfront. They hotel only has single storied pavilions, you hardly get that at any other hotel on the island. It has historic ruins dotted around the grounds, water bodies, lush landscapes and a tall water feature with a lake on premise. The rooms have every amenity with outdoor terraces, dining areas and sun loungers, plus real space and privacy between rooms. There are two outdoor pools (one adults-only), tranquil beaches, and hammocks strung between the palms where you could listen to the calm waves any time of the day. The dining options ( many!) have extensive menus at the main Restaurant and On The Rocks. There are wine and rum tasting experiences in the historic and preserved Gunpowder Room ( it was an armour storage house for the French forces, BEAT THAT !) The breakfast menu changes constantly as their guests tend to stay a long while here so there’s never any getting tired of the food. The beverage list is just as wide-ranging, the hotel’s own infused rum cocktails at sunset are a particular joy, and there’s a different live act at the bar every single night, so the evenings are never repetitive. (My favourite was the magician) It’s location in the north-west makes it the best spot in Mauritius for weather, with more sunshine and fewer showers than the south. As a consultant i travel extensively at different hotels, but the service at Oberoi is incomparable. This is delivered by the most special part of an Oberoi property - thier people. It’s not possible to name everyone, but Shaan, Aditya, Vasudha, Danav were exceptional. We liked a particular sauce and they packed some for us to take home. My husband loved their home made infused rums ( you will see a whole collection in the gunpowder room) Naveen at the bar created some exceptional cocktails for us based on some flavour profiles we described. Chef Singh and Chef Swaraj created an exceptional dining experience each day. The hotel has ‘Two MICHELIN Keys’ from the Michelin Guide, consider that 3 from our experience. Simply the best.

The standards at this hotel, and within the Oberoi group generally, should be those to which everyone in the industry both aspires and delivers. This was our fourth experience of an Oberoi hotel and, alongside the excellent accommodation, facilities, food and drink, it is the level of service offered by all staff that makes it exceptional. That can only come through a culture that starts at the top and clearly cascades down, supported by highly effective training. This is an idyllic, quiet resort which offers a totally relaxing and comfortable experience. Of course, it comes at a cost, but it is price worth paying for the quality of the service and attention to detail. We will certainly be looking to stay at other hotels in the group because you know what you will get from the time you check in, to the sincere farewell on departure.

Amazing experience! I was looking for somewhere to celebrate with my wife, our 10 year anniversary. The staff were exceptional and always ready to go the extra mile. Rabin was especially great with us and we enjoyed the food by chef Singh.
