Hotels near Fuerteventura Airport, Maxorata

Very clean comfortable beds and sofa modern lovely host went at Christmas they put on shows round pool.it was cleaned daily inside and out the only thing we did not like was the paint colour needed toning down to make it more modern it's a sickly bright green god knows who chose that awful colour. Could also do with a few arcade machines instead of having to go into town for something to do like a ****** no idea why 2 stars definitely worth more than that rating.i will be going again

The place is good, but maybe there are better hotels for the same price. Caleta de Fuste Beach is ideal for exploring the island because it is in the center of it, with a car you have 1 hour up and another hour down from this hotel to go to the best beaches. You can also relax on the hotel's beach with a very beautiful artificial pool made by the sea.

One of my best hotel stays at the Sheraton Fuerteventura, during my short autumn stay, away from the fog and cold weather of northern Italy. This resort is located on the beautiful sandy beaches of Caleta de Fuste, 15 min. from the Airport, in a quiet and green area. As a Titanium member of Marriott Bonvoy, I was upgraded to a huge sea view Junior Suite, with a beautiful terrace with sun loungers, a big bathroom with jacuzzi, king size confy bed, sofa and dinner table. At check-in I got a voucher with 50% of discount for dinner buffet at Arcos restaurant, and 20% for dinner at other restaurants of the resort. There are 4 outside pools, 2 of them heated, with sun loungers around (unfortunately, many guests occupy them in early morning by leaving towels on them, very disappointing behaviour). I used the beautiful internal spa, an oasis of peace with heated pool, hydromassage, sauna, turkish bath, roman bath, showers and many other facilities. Food and drinks at resort restaurants were very good, with a wide choice of plates and international cuisine. In front of the hotel there are free sandy beaches, clean and quiet, where you can rent loungers and umbrellas before swimming in the clear waters of the ocean. Staff is always smiling and professional, thank you so much to Michela, at guest relations, for helping me during the stay with a lot of advices and assistance. Taxi to and from the airport is about 15€. From the Sheraton you can easily walk to Caleta de Fuste shops, to Centro Comercial Atlantico (many shops and market) and to Las Salinas de Carmen with its museum. I enjoyed this stay so much and I can't wait to go back at the Sheraton Fuerteventura!

Great hotel, friendly staff, good choice of food for breakfast, only ate there once in the evening and the buffet, although not exceptional, was good and reasonably priced. Good location - an easy walk to the beach or one of the many restaurants (more than I expected in a small town). Yes, there is building work going on on two plots between the hotel and the sea, but if you have a first floor room with a pool view, i.e. with your balcony facing the large inner area where the pool and pool bar are situated, it really is not intrusive. A crane being operated from ground level doesn't make any real noise. Another review mentioned the lack of a plug to be able to use the bath. I guess that may be deliberate to limit water consumption, but that reviewer wasn't particularly resourceful. We asked at reception and they immediately opened a drawer and gave us one, no bother. There is a row of shops including a HiperDino Express supermarket in the same block as the hotel, plus a really good ice cream shop, so it was easy to get supplies of lunch time food, beer, wine etc to consume on the beach or on our balcony to avoid the pool bar prices (although we did use that bar when using the pool). There is also an excellent bakery a few hundred yards away where you can get a good range of sandwiches, quiche, toasties either to take away or eat in. I would also recommend the make-on-demand fruit and vegetable juicing unit in there - lovely healthy blends. Back to the hotel: excellent sunbeds (you could raise not just the back but also two thirds down could be raised to give support when sitting), and there were even a number of full double bed sized units with cushions, for no extra charge, and there was never any pressure on sunbed availability while we were there. Our room was spotless and the maid service was excellent. The only minor quibble we experienced was that the ”double bed” was actually two singles together. Thinking back, maybe I should have checked to see if the castors were lockable, but it did give us a laugh when the beds moved apart and one of nearly went down the middle... perhaps a couple of short bungees to pull the castor wheel units together would have solved that one! Overall, very happy with our stay.

I rated a 3 because we stayed her last year and gave it a 5. It is a different experience. Clearly the leadership are delivering a different message to the staff. Last year they couldn’t do enough, we were blown away by the unique experience. We were so excited about coming back, but sadly we’ve been disappointed on numerous occasions. It’s just another hotel now. The staff appear gutted, I can only think this is the corporate experience as opposed to the previous boutique experience. It’s a beautiful hotel with great staff, but sadly they are not able to offer that unforgettable experience we had last year. It’s gone from a customer focus experienced to a revenue focused corporation. We felt like we were getting in the way here, that can be uncomfortable I was told that if I wanted to keep the iron for more than an hour I would have to be charged 9 euros….. in a 5 star hotel!! Bizarre.

Reception were very accommodating to our requests prior to arrival. On arrival Cat checked us all In but also let us go Eat as we had just arrived and lunch was nearly finished. Food options- weren’t bad - I’m A fussy eater so I did eat more or less the same Thing every day…. But for those willing to try something there is always a great selection of Food. Pool Bar - tea, coffee, cold drinks all Available all day…. Food at pool Bar -pizza and hot dogs you pay for separately but there is sandwiches(you just need to ask As they are in the fridge) crisps, nuts and ice cream available all day. Crater Park on site was good fun for all Ages, no Issues getting sun-beds etc maybe not always ones with parasols but still No issues - Our villa felt like it as furthest away from the reception which wasn’t ideal with young kids and Mil with walking difficulties but it wasn’t the end of the world (10/15 min walk) ideally some Daisy bikes For hire for the week would Have been great! Or electric buggies of some sort- although again rec gave us a lift down with our bags and picked us up on the way back with them So again super helpful. When we did have issues we called rec and it was fixed straight away…. All The team were super friendly from bar staff, housekeeping, maintenance, gardeners etc etc (apart from one lady in restaurant who was snappy with us when we moved a table so all 9of us could Sit together - she said we weren’t allowed to do that even though we had done the last 6 days) just her attitude was a bit off there are nicer ways to be with guests. But a special shout out to Cat who was superb at her job - she remembered us(hopefully not for bad reasons haha) when we decided to get a private transfer for the way back to airport she sorted that out for us with no issues- feel like she went above and beyond for us and was always smiling. A credit to your team! Thank you again Cat for going that extra mile.
