DoubleTree Suites by Hilton McAllen

The hot water heater broke at 245 AM in the ceiling of the bathroom. Woke me up with water pouring in through the ceiling. I reported it to the front desk, this is almost 3am. The front desk lady was so rude and treated me terrible. When I asked for another room she got mad at me and told me if I wanted another room id have to get up and go to her to do it (its a big hotel). I told her it was 3am and I still had to pack and asked her to bring me the new key. She got mad at me for it then brought it to me. She gave me a dbl bed room (I had a king suite). She also put me on the other side of the hotel, so I had a long way to go. When she got to my room, she was very rude to me. By the time I got to my new room, the room was hot and took hours to cool. When I finally got back to sleep it was 5am and I had to be up at 630am. Its a long day business trip and Im a zombie today. No one from the hotel offered any kind of assistance, or offered a remedy, I had the demand a new room.

Live in San Antonio TX, When we travel to the Valley, there is only one hotel we stay, and that is the Doubletree, McAllen, TX. I can work from my room while my wife shops at the mall near by. We’re able to drive to our favorite restaurants near by and have great drinks at the bar.

The staff was friendly , and helpful. Everyone was smiling and looked happy to be there. However the property needs deep cleaning. And normal cleaning. Rugs dirty. The room smelled musty. The furniture was outdated. The curtain was dirty. We changed rooms after the sofa bed got stuck. And the ninth floor was super hot in atrium area.

Everything was absolutely perfect.. The rooms are really nice, the ambiance is beautiful. Highly recommend

I like to stay here, frequently traveler. I just think the pool opens to late at 10am!!

Kid friendly, rooms clean spacious, pool indoor parking customer service good
