Romantik Hotel Schwanefeld & Spa

All in all the stay was good. We were there for 2 nights, from Friday to Sunday and had already treated ourselves to lunch on Thursdays. The zander was great, the roulade should have been more tender - but tastes are different - my wife somehow makes them differently. Unfortunately, we were not informed of an existing day ticket. About the stay: The SERVICE STAFF (service, cooks at the buffet and SPA) were very friendly and helpful. I'll come to the staff at the RECEPTION later. The room: We had a standard double room on the first floor, which was accessible by elevator. You can argue about the size given the price/performance ratio. Since we only stay in AT LEAST 4 star hotels - which is quite a lot - I dare say that it is NOT worth the money. Much too small, the view was from the walls of the house and everything was very cramped. The room was not air-conditioned, which at the outside temperature (28 degrees) led to a high temperature in the room. The window, which was open for hours, didn't help, the use of the small table fan (available on the closet) was ridiculous, if you ever found a socket somewhere to operate it at night, that it didn't annoy you. Temperatures didn't really drop at night either. The ventilation in the bathroom is very noisy, even when the bathroom door was closed. While you're showering, nobody should flush the toilet or use the tap at all, because otherwise you'll scald yourself (but right 😡). The splash guard of the tub could also be a bit wider, otherwise the bathroom would be flooded. The cleanliness of the room was very good. The SPA/wellness area is really very nice and very clean in all areas. BUT: In the many stays in other houses, the bathing flip-flops were always included - if you didn't bring your own, you have to buy them for 5 euros/pair. IT'S NOT ABOUT THE MONEY. But to sell us such a one-size-fits-all piece of crap (not worth 50 cents) is almost cheeky when you consider how many stairs you have to climb in the wellness area. I wouldn't go barefoot in the wellness area - I didn't find a place to disinfect athlete's foot. The breakfast was good and there was a lot to choose from - the only thing missing was table bins. THE RECEPTION: For US, the reception is basically the figurehead of the whole house. FRIENDLINESS IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT! We are very disappointed in how they treated us. You are also welcome to say good morning and a smile to my wife. I find it extremely rude to suggest upon check-out that I took more from the minibar than stated, especially since I offered to check. This was omitted. No goodbye or if the stay was ok. This treatment is the reason that our money will no longer flow into their coffers.

Zunächst einmal vorab: Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer, das Personal, das Essen, der Wellnessbereich, alles war sehr gut und wir haben uns hier wohlgefühlt und werden auf jeden Fall nochmals hierherkommen. Was uns aber negativ aufgefallen ist, dass das Hotel an verschiedenen Stellen die Gäste auffordert, eine positive Bewertung abzugeben. Im Gegenzug gibt es dann für eine 5-Sterne Bewertung eine Tafel Schokolade. Wir haben diese Schokolade nicht eingefordert und waren, davon abgesehen, rundherum zufrieden. Die 5 Sterne vergeben wir zurecht.

Hier hat einfach alles gestimmt: wir hatten ein schönes, großes Zimmer im alten Haus, das Bad war etwas klein aber völlig ausreichend. Die Begrüßung an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, wir erhielten umfassende Informationen über das Hotel, den Wellness Bereich und das Restaurant. Der Aufenthalt im Spa sowie das Candle-Light Abendessen war in unserem Arrangement enthalten. Beides ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Getränkepreise sind auf hohem Niveau, aber passend zum Haus und zum Service. Das Personal war überall freundlich, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Man könnte meinen, dass sich nach der Corona Krise die Hotels wieder über Gäste freuen..... den Eindruck hatte ich leider nicht. Leider war die Auswahl an vernünftigen Hotels in der Nähe eher übersichtlich und daher hatte ich mich auf ein schönes (laut Werbung) Hotel gefreut. Einen Tipp an die Inhaber, auch wenn der Wettbewerb in der Gegend nicht hoch zu sein scheint. ich würde mir insgesamt mehr Mühe geben. Der Check: geht gerade noch als freundlich durch, aber da gibt es viel Luft nach oben. Die Zimmer (hatte 2 verschiedene): ganz okay, aber auch hier wirkt alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Abendessen war für den relativ hohen Preis nur mittelmäßig. Für Firmengruppen ist dies Hotel in der Gegend sicherlich eine Alternative, aber nur weil es nicht viel besseres gibt. Urlaub würde ich hier nie machen wollen. Normalerweise bin ich von der Kette Romantik Hotels viel besseres gewohnt. Sorry.....aber die Performance war wirklich nichts, auch nicht beim zweiten Mal.

Unser Zimmer war eher etwas klein, aber effizient eingerichtet. Es hatte ein großes Fenster zum Hotelgarten und guter Sicht in die weite Landschaft. Wir hatten uns fast einen ganzen Tag über im Wellness-Bereich aufgehalten und dies auch sehr genossen inklusive Massage und Kosmetikbehandlung. Sehr angenehm empfanden wir das Schwimmen im geheizten Außenbecken. Leider war das Dampfbad wegen Corona-Einschränkung nicht in Betrieb. Service und Frühstücksbuffet waren sehr gut, eine Besonderheit waren die 'Versucherle' aus der Schokoladenmanufaktur. Anm.zu Preis/Leistung: Wir haben dabei einen Connex-Hotelgutschein eingelöst..

das Hotel ist sehr gut die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen, vor allem die alten Teppichböden und die Bäder Preis für èbernachtung viel zu hoch Preis für Hund mehr als in einem 5 Sterne Haus der Eintritt ins Spa auch als Hotelgast 50 Euro pro Person - übertrieben Essen ist ausgezeichnet sowie der service
