"Arrive early evening and was greeted with a glass of Sekt! It was so very welcome after a hard day's meetings. Unfortunately I only stayed for one night, I was invited out for dinner at a different location, but breakfast was great at the Burgkeller. Staff was very friendly and the location was fairytale. Check out was pleasant and quick - I loved the little gift of home made cookies on check out. The cookies saved me from starvation on my 7 hour trip to the airport. I will be back!"

"The hotel is located about 30 minutes walk from the old town centre. The staff ranges from very early to overloaded. It is clean and is regularly cleaned. The furniture is adapted to the age partly.. The beds are a little soft for our taste. Breakfast. - and dinner times are usually needed and are similar to the FDGB standard. The restaurant offered like the bar cannot be really used, it is only shortly available during the dining courses, unfortunately. This may be due to a lack of staff."

"We like that this historic was rescued from decay by an extensive renovation in the mid 1990's. We loved having a bath tub as well as a shower. We loved the big comfortable bed. We loved the location in the town centre. Most of all we enjoyed the excellent German breakfast, with Sekt, smoked salmon and proper freshly-baked croissant amongst the offerings. We didn't like our top floor room being under the eves of the roof. The sloping ceiling meant having to duck in order to get into bed. We found the 1990's fixtures and fittings a bit dated, including the thick, small-screen 'flat' TV. There was no kettle in the room to make tea/coffee. The hotel would have been fantastic when it re-opened 30 years ago, but today it feels 'tired'. There were some unpleasant smells between the reception desk and a back entrance through which we inadvertently entered the property on arrival We paid 93 euros for a Monday overnight stay in low-season mid March, for bed and breakfast, and are glad we didn't pay any more than that,"

"Accommodation close to the city center. The rooms are clean, the mattresses are neither too hard nor too soft, and the pillows are comfortable to sleep on. The breakfast is simply superb, with a huge selection, many of which are homemade, like the salads and jam. The rolls are fresh and there are a variety of options, and the coffee is also very good. The owners and staff are very nice and friendly."
