Ibis Budget Melbourne Airport

The room was tiny, barely enough space to turn around. Its only redeeming quality was its convenient location close to the airport, making it suitable for early morning flights.

Facilities: This hotel is super close to the airport, about a ten-minute walk. Once you exit the airport, just keep walking left, and you'll see plenty of clear Ibis signs along the way. The room setup is standard, with a comfy bed and a small bathroom that includes shower gel and towels. Cleanliness: Generally quite clean, except for having to swat one mosquito 🤣. It's best to keep the window closed if your room faces the road. Service: Excellent! I stored my luggage at the hotel first, then took my friend's belongings to Sydney, and only picked up mine two days later. The front desk was very helpful and retrieved my luggage based on the storage receipt. As a one-night stopover before catching an early morning flight, this place is a great choice.

The hotel isn't directly connected to the airport. To get there, you'll need to exit the domestic terminal, follow the taxi signs, and then look for the hotel's directional signs. It's a quick walk from there. There's no elevator, but the front desk staff are proactive and will help you carry your luggage upstairs. The room facilities are basic but clean. The only downside is that it's overpriced.

Do NOT choose this hotel. The value for money is terrible. Although it looks like it's next to the airport, it actually takes 25 minutes to get to the terminal, and you have to cross multiple roads. It's an absolute nightmare if you have a lot of luggage.
