Sheraton Melbourne Hotel Reviews

The location is fantastic! Hyde Park is right in front, and within a three-kilometer radius, you can walk to attractions, the ferry terminal, Sydney Tower, and the CBD. There's also a bus stop right outside the hotel.

This is an older five-star hotel with decent service. Its location is similar to Tsim Sha Tsui East in Hong Kong – quiet, with many famous shops, bars, and Western restaurants nearby. However, you'll notice a lot of tourists around when you step outside. The breakfast is pretty good and acceptable, offering standard fare like bread, eggs, coffee, cheese, ham, and fruit – all the daily essentials. The main drawback is that the hotel is too close to the two adjacent buildings. There are very few rooms with a view; most rooms get little to no sunlight throughout the day and require the curtains to be drawn almost constantly. The bathroom is particularly bad. The shower screen only covers half the area, so water inevitably splashes all over the floor, making it a mess. This means you often have to use bath towels to dry the floor, leading to constantly wet carpets and very dirty towels in the long run.

The hotel is located on a small street, yet it's incredibly convenient for getting around, close to everything, but far enough from the hustle and bustle to offer a unique sense of tranquility. Most of the staff and management are of Indian descent, and they seemed to lack enthusiasm, although there were some Chinese staff members we didn't interact with much. The breakfast was quite disappointing, especially compared to the much richer options we're used to in China – there was hardly anything to eat here. A heads-up: the entrance is on the ground floor (G), but check-in is on the first floor (which we'd consider the second floor in our country, haha).

Staying at this hotel, I hit this lamp twice while lying in bed at night. It hurt quite a bit. This design is just speechless. Who on earth designed the lamp to be in such a position?

Overall, it was quite good. However, we had an 8 AM flight and left the hotel at 4:30 AM. We got a packed breakfast box, which cost an outrageous A$45. It was definitely not worth it – inside were just one apple, one banana, one pear, two croissants, and two small Danish pastries. I'd advise everyone to just eat at the airport instead.

Stayed at the Sheraton – pretty nice hotel overall. The location is super convenient, just a 10-minute walk to Chinatown. Makes it really easy to explore the area and grab some great food. The hotel itself is comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again!

The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, including a delicious omelet every day. The hotel is conveniently located for train travel and offers a peaceful retreat despite being close to attractions.

Facilities: Clean. The faucet in my room was broken, but after a call, they promptly moved me to another room. The issue was handled very quickly. There's a friendly young man at the front desk who speaks Chinese, which was very helpful. Cleanliness: Clean. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable; I had three full nights of peaceful, comfortable sleep!

The room was clean and tidy, very close to the Capitol Building, and super convenient for taking the tram. The service was excellent.

Had a wonderful stay at Sheraton! Excellent service as always. They even allowed us to check in earlier, rooms were clean and very comfortable! Would definitely revisit again

This hotel deserves a five-star review! I wish I had stayed at the Sheraton for my entire trip to Melbourne. It's in the city center, which is incredibly convenient, and even late at night, around 8-9 PM, there are still plenty of people around, making it feel very safe. When I checked in, there was a Chinese-speaking staff member available. Although the person who actually checked me in was of Indian descent, a Chinese colleague came over to make sure everything was alright before leaving. They even offered me a complimentary glass of champagne! The hotel room was spacious and clean, definitely the best I've stayed in during my past two weeks in Sydney and Melbourne. It certainly lived up to expectations! Right outside the hotel, there's a Rolex store, and if you walk down the street, you'll find the Town Hall and a church. There are plenty of options for dining, entertainment, and shopping. It's also not far from Australia's famous WWL? Or was it WWs?

We had the larger king room on high floor. It was a lovely big room with great view over fitzroy gardens. Such a lovely comfy bed and huge big bath.

Was nice stay. Staff are friendly. Services are good. Changed my room immediately after I found the original one has a faulty lighting

The service was warm and attentive, and the hotel was clean and hygienic. The surrounding area is nice, and transportation is convenient. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Melbourne. I also wish the hotel continues to maintain this level of service and keeps improving!
