The Victoria Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located on a small street next to City Hall, just a five-minute walk to the tram station. It's a building constructed in 1880, which once served as the Victoria Coffee Palace. On the mezzanine floor, there are some 19th-century antique items displayed in two cabinets. The triple room isn't huge, but it was sufficient for two adults and one child. The beds have wheels and can be moved around, and the nightstands are also movable, allowing you to combine them into one large and one small bed, creating space for luggage. The room was very clean, though the sliding door in the shower had a minor issue. Slippers and drinking water are not provided in the room, but you can get water from the dispenser on the mezzanine floor, which is convenient enough. There was a strange noise from the air conditioning at night, and someone came to fix it after we reported it. We stayed for three days, and the breakfast didn't change at all, offering both English and Chinese options, as shown in the picture. Overall, it was decent, but those with high expectations for breakfast should consider other options.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to the City Hall and just a few minutes walk from the Grand Hyatt, which was the meeting point for our Ctrip day tour. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, and there are many small shops nearby to explore. The front desk had a very enthusiastic young man who spoke Chinese. Our power adapter was incorrect, and he kindly lent us one to use in a pinch, also telling us where the nearest supermarket was to buy one.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and the surrounding area is super convenient for getting around. Many famous attractions and landmarks are within walking distance. Transportation is also within the free bus zone.

The price for the room was over 1,000, and the air conditioning was very noisy. The shower door was broken. Overall, the experience was just okay. The only plus was that the window could be opened. I wouldn't really recommend it. I suggest they make some improvements.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the city center. Step out and turn left, and you're close to Flinders Street Station, the graffiti laneways, the State Library, and Carlton Gardens – all within walking distance or a short tram ride! The service was also good; you can store your luggage after checking out. The breakfast selection was quite limited and more suited to Western palates: eggs, bread, butter, tomatoes, and ham. That's about it! No Chinese breakfast options, so don't expect too much from it. Everything else was fine, and it's great value for money, especially considering the excellent location.

The breakfast was pretty good, sufficient, and the room was quite spacious with two large beds. It's right in the city center, making it very convenient to get anywhere. Definitely recommend it! The dining options nearby are excellent. Thumbs up! The price was also reasonable.
